I think I fall under the VPP Plan C. But my question is, right now folks are getting the 370Z at invoice or slightly below invoice from some of the posts I have read without VPP, so are we really saving a hugh amount below the invoice amount or just a little? The way I understand it, it works out to be maybe a couple hundred off of invoice is the Plan C and D price. Of course if you are a NNA corporate employee or immediate family member then you get 4% off of invoice and no delivery charge, and that does equate to a significant amount.
I am in so cal. and the tax rate is 7.75% so my price according the the Plan C or D is approx the MSRP, but out the door, including tax, lic. fee, etc. So for example a touring, sport, 6spd works out to be about $38,500 out the door for me which is similar to the sticker price. |

I agree. The deal I got from John Frederick at Ed Martin Nissan in Indianapolis was really good. No hassles and a very fair trade value for my car. I couldn't get near the deal in Cincinnati. I did qualify for VPP and may have paid a few dollars more but I'm happy.
BTW, Since picking up the car on 2/14 I have received 2 letters and 3 phone calls from the dealer checking to see if I was happy with the car. One thing that my come out of this economy is a return to customer service. |
I just tried to fill out the VPP form. The 370Z is not listed as being eligible. Only the 350Z is present.
Just so you guys know. |
- Eligible MY09 Nissan Vehicles: All released MY09 Vehicles except GT-R and Versa Sedan 1.6L Trims
That includes the 370Z. What form are you attempting to fill out? |
Once you pick your company it brings you to a page where you pick the vehicle that you intend to lease or buy, so you can get a claim number. The 370Z is not among those choices. The link is in the first message of this thread.

I'm currently attending the University of Michigan - I saw the University of Michigan on the VPP list. Does this mean I could get VPP for attending the college? Or do I have to be an employee to get the VPP? Sorry if this is a newbie question...

another piece of information relevant to this thread...
My preferred local dealer was actually excited to make the sale through the VPP program as they will immediately receive another Z from Nissan as all sales made through VPP program do NOT count against their allocation. Allocation can be a big deal for a dealer if it is a high profile vehicle that tends to sell quickly. |

A replacement car and 5% profit is a very good deal for the dealer. If he sold to you a car at invoice without VPP he would only make his 2% holdback and lose an allocated car. Looks like a win/win all around. |
I didn't see this on the first post. An actual calculator for business associates plans to give us an idea of what deal VPP gives. :icon17:

What kind of pricing are people getting with the VPP on the 370z?
Also the calculator had 2k additional discount on there, where did that number come from? - Alvin |
put a zero in that, it's just for adding incentives/rebates.

good luck people wish i was on the list.... |
Very Cool ! !
I wanted to find something like this for ordering my Nismo - someway that I would not have to pay an 'Adjusted Market Value' markup. So I need to difinately look into this, do you know if it applies to orders or just lot cars? Thanks Mark |
It can be applied to ordered cars.(once it hits the dealers lot) It is a voluntary program, so you may run into some dealers that won't honor the VPP price on a Z. Just shop around.

can dealers sell a car below the VPP price? i asked about 8 dealers and some of them give me a lower price than VPP allows..they even say it includes destination, etc...the price difference is about $800

VPP is a program that allows dealers to sell vehilces below cost and then get reimbursed through Nissan to make up the loss. VPP pricing is fixed. A dealer can sell you a car below VPP, but they won't get reimbursed and it will just cost the dealer money. So it just depends on the dealer. Hope that answered your question.

If you live in Sacramento and want to buy a 370Z at $500 over invoice, PM me. You'll end up at the same price as a VPP deal and I can save you a lot of time, because I work in the fleet department.
|
^^ That would cost more than VPP...fyi

VPP pricing on the C & D plan should work out to just below invoice (about $200 less or so) Since the dealer has to submit some extra paperwork to collect money, many dealers don't bother or won't do it on certain cars. VPP deals are easy for the dealer and we do get some money back from Nissan, so we always try to make VPP deals! keep that in mind if you're close to NYC

A newbie here. I've been waiting on getting the new 370z when I heard about the 40th Anniv. next year. I'm hoping to be able to get the 40th Anniv. using the VPP discount. I really doubt any dealer would let those go at VPP prices. Hey KoeppelNissan, how about it? I'm in Staten Island.

We'd be more than happy to offer VPP pricing on any Z, just let me know when you are ready to order your new Z.

I have the check in my hands for sponsorship. I'll stay away for a few days until it is received by AK. Sorry. Am I being set up, though?
