Bought an GTR. Brandnew. got some issue at carfax?
I just bought this and saw the vin number has (2) issue at carfax.com i don't know whats that issue I don't want to mention the dealership. the VIN number of the GTR is:
JN1AR5EF7AM231270 can someone help me out whats the issue of the GTR?:eekdance: If someone has a who saw or know this car problem without looking at carfax please let me know |
A couple of different things:
~Could be when it arrived in the US ~You registering it ~Its arrival at the dealership |
Did you just look it up on carfax or did you actually get the report??
Cause carfax also lists registration and stuff. That could be the two things. |

Did you look at the actual carfax report? or are you asking for someone to run your vin for a report?
It's against forum rules to ask for carfax report Quote:

Just buy the report on ur own. 20 bucks on a 80k car is worth to check. Don't ya think??
|
bad thing is I already paid for it bank transfered and I don't wanna take a refund if the problem is not that serious

You're one weird bird. You ask US to buy YOU a Carfax report after you drop 80 large on a car?
|
you don't get 80 grand to spend on a car throwing money around...
|
Should have had the dealer look that up for you.
|
dealerships have started using autocheck more than carfax lately. Just thought i`d let you know. I believe autocheck is also more consistent than carfax.
|
Looks like you may of been ripped off. Tell you what, I'll give you $25K for it.
Kidding...nice ride man. All you need now is to start the mods! |

Dealer to dealer is a common thing. Especially for a rare car like the GTR.
|
So, Asi, out of curiosity (and no large amount of disrespect intended), how can you afford to pay cash for a GTR? It would appear from your typing skills that you're not some highly-paid college grad "makin' tha big bucks". And, as others have intimated, it seems odd to drop that kind of money on a vehicle and then worry about paying for a Carfax report. Hey! If you're the son of some famous celebrity, you gotta fess up ! ;)
:scratches my head: |

That's cool ! So, you live out of the country (US)? I've been to about 25 different countries...may I ask what country you live in? |
so you getting rid of that 370... seeing you dont need the trade in value could you donate it to the forums and we can all share it?

He is an exporter and buys and sells cars in the black market overseas.

Remember a few years ago. Guy wrecks an Enzo in Malibu canyon, car basically gets cut in half but car has no paperwork? turns out the guy lives in a Multi Million $ house and had a few other Super Exotic rides. They pull his wife over in Hollywood area and snatch her McLauren (I think that's what it was).
He was some European guy, big mystery at the time. End result... He was Buying Cars in Europe, financing them and putting them in containers bringing them to the States but reporting them stolen back home or simply not making payments. Not to sound like a Paranoid freak but personally the whole ordeal seemed like BS. That guy was doing something a little more in depth then smuggling in stolen cars. Sounds like a plot like that movie SWORDFISH, whole thing was really weird but who knows... I was victim to something like this back in 2000. Bought my first MV Agusta back before people knew what they were. Turned out the bike was brought in Grey Market, couldnt register it and had numerous letters telling me it that I needed to turn it in. Screw that! Ended up selling it to a Collector in AZ. At least this thread is a little interesting now  |
