It's very worth it. Forged wheels, Better brakes, and differential are all worth it. Considering it is only like a 3k option it is a no brainer. All of those things would be very expensive to do later! Do it for the differential if nothing else, unless you like one wheel squeals.

The rev match is awesome, you can be lazy as you want with casual driving and never have a jerky shift. On the track I am sure it will improve times for the average guy like me. I have yet to take mine to the mountains but I can only imagine how fun ZDAYZ will be this year coming from a 350. If anything the sport package will help resale value down the road if you ever decide to get something else. It's kind of like buying a 4wd truck, it might be 3k more when new, but 10 years later it will be a lot easier to get rid of the 4wd version.

Hey yeah

bobbylight is spot on. The rev match is flawless, even if you change your mind on which gear to go to.
I personally went with the sport pgk for the wheels/brakes/lsd.
Everyone comments on the red calipers and fat **** rear tires

Rev matching is worth it for me. I enjoy it. Use it when down shifting offten. I hardly turn it off.

REV Match is a must on this car in my opinion. Down shifting is so smooth and effortless. I have it on ALWAYS. Once in a blue moon, I turn it off, just to see how horrible I really am making those transitions (downshifts)

worth it

like everyone has said the diff and brakes sell it alone. Not to mention the wheels and rev match. definitely worth it.

Well I finally got her!

After driving it most of the weekend, I think that the way that I drive now, especially during this break-in period, that rev matching is something for more aggressive driving. I tend to throw her into N a lot and with the matching on the blips are a little annoying. Maybe as I really start to open her up, I will appreciate this feature.

BTW, all of the other upgrades are great. Those brakes kick a$$.

Congrats!!
I seen Nissan is offering the 0% interest this month and I'm a little pissed I missed out on it but we had some nice weather in march and I couldn't hold out.
What color did you go with

If you know how to drive stick and match anyway, rev match is pretty much useless. I leave it turned off. If you drop into neutral for stopping at the lights, it will gun the engine up thinking you plan to shift into another gear - ugh. Don't freewheel the engine please.

The diff is great, the brakes are fantastic, and the sport wheels are nice. Definitely worth the small cost. The brakes alone do it.

Some cars are more difficult to rev match than others. I recently test drove a 2016 camaro 2ss. It too has the rev match option. I found it difficult to manually blip the throttle, it seems there was throttle lag or the throttle didn't respond right away. The 2015 version of this car was easier to blip. Had the same problem with a 2015 mustang gt (haven't tried the MY16 yet).

With the G & 370z, throttle responds immediately when blipping. ymmv

I usually turn mine off for DD, but on the track or "twisties" it really comes in handy as my heel-toe skills are lacking...

GTRicky 08-02-2016 09:47 AM

I like the rev match. I'm DD'ing my nismo and drive it in some stop and go traffic at times. I'm the opposite of Mults on this. Being able to be half awake and not worry about downshitting is very nice. It is easy mode, but it is [CURRENT YEAR], so why the hell not?

I'm sure it'll be nice when I take it to the track. The pedal pack is mega easy heal toe friendly so I may not even use it on the road course.

SR_GUY 08-07-2016 10:01 PM

i love the rev match. especially when downshifting or just coming to a slow it gives the car so much of a smoother feel.

HEK 08-17-2016 08:44 AM

I drive my Z daily and wear steel toe boots, so it's impossible to heel / toe so the rev match is wonderful, weekend with sneakers I shut it off to play with the gears :driving:
