Got it - thanks! I think I am leaning towards PG at the moment. I like silver but I don't think hours of detailing will show well compare to PG or other darker colors.

This darker silver shows off the contours of the car much better. The contours are barely visible in white or silver and overpowered by black. But the PG really shows off the sculpts of the body which are a big design element of this car. The G37 in PG blows you away and I suspect the Z is the same.

Excellent point - curves are the bomb on this car for sure. PG it is :D

I went to the dealer and saw a GT-R that was gray and I asked the sales manager if the 370z was going to be the same gray and he said yes. Is this true. I know they have different names but I also took down there sample swatch and held it next to the GT-R and they looked about the same. If this is true I did not see any hint of gold but that could be the lighting in the dealership...

I went to check out 09 G37 in PG. Looked great but it def had brownish tint.

Temple 01-04-2009 04:43 PM

Well if that is true that would really suck. I want this color but not if it has ANY brown or gold hues... :barf:

If it looks the same as the GT-R Gray then I am in...

Yea, I was a bit disappointed with the PG - at least on the G37. I know it was a bit dirty and it wasn't completely sunny out but the gold tint is steering me away from the color now.

I am not sure if that color on the G37 you saw is the same as the 370z color. I looked up a bunch of pics online and none of them looked like the 370z gray. Keeping my fingers crossed...

He might have been looking at amethyst graphite. Best to take a look at PG in person under direct sunlight, cloudy sky, and under dealer showroom lights to get a feel for the color. I haven't noticed any bronze tones even though it does look like it has a bronze shimmer in the pics on the first page of this thread. I suspect that's one of those lighting flukes as opposed to the actual representation of the color. Here's a pic with Amethyst Graphite on the left, slate in the middle, and PG on the right.

Funny how that color can look so different in every shot. First shot I see the brownish/goldish hue second I do not. I need to see this color in the daylight in person. I think I am now leaning towards either black or white.

Thanks for the shots AK370Z!

It is odd. There's a bronze shimmer in some angles and certain lights. Looks like they added those tones to the paint in PG. The previous darker silvers by Nissan, Titanium, Diamond Graphite, Sonic Silver, didn't have this bronze hue.

sbkim 01-06-2009 11:13 AM

Trust me I saw PG - unless sticker on the car was wrong. You have to see the color in person.

bossman 01-07-2009 01:23 AM

wow it's not brown or bronze get over it already..

Minicobra1 01-07-2009 01:45 AM

Picked up my PG last night, the color is awesome, I'm not noticing any bronze hue to it, it's more of a cool color then a warm one.
