The only problem I have with the white is.....it's just not black enough.

Haha, Exactly! Just rode in a Black Z today with sport package, pure sex. Loved it. Just don't have the cash yet.

Balck/Persimmon Interior Pics Please

I am debating about ordering a black with persimmon interior or buying black on black now. Any pictures of black with persimmon would help. By the way, I do not post much but read this site everyday as it is very addictive. Thank you to everyone for sharing their knowledge.

LiquidZ 02-09-2009 04:10 PM

I saw the black up close in person, and I saw flakes in it, much like the pearl white.

Did anybody notice that? Looks really nice.

I love black cars, but I don't know if I have the patience to keep them scratch free...

ssqpolo 02-09-2009 04:39 PM

i had magnetic black on my 350...and now on my 370...once u go black...u never go back (for car color purposes =D). the only hard part is keeping it clean

LiquidZ 02-11-2009 06:12 PM

I really like black!

Any tips to keep it spotless?

Was going to be sarcastic and say wash it a lot or keep it in the garage, but yours is much, much better.

The Mother Load!! These pictures leave no doubt that Black is the best color!!

LiquidZ 02-14-2009 02:15 PM

^yeah those pictures rock.

nogoodname 02-14-2009 02:19 PM

looks so fresh and clean in those pics

like a fine tailored tuxedo

frost 02-14-2009 02:25 PM

Now show it a couple months later with all the swirl marks ;]
Just kidding, looks good, and the grill doesnt look nearly as bad on the black.

nogoodname 02-14-2009 02:28 PM

^^ just park the car in the hot hot sun and the swirls will magically disappear

frost 02-14-2009 02:31 PM

< knows all about cars in hot sun living in phoenix, lol

nogoodname 02-14-2009 02:34 PM

^^ so what's the problem?? the hot sun will clear ur car of swirls everyday

Don't know if I believe the "self-healing". Guess I'll need to wait for warmer days?

nogoodname 02-14-2009 04:23 PM

yea ^^

frost 02-14-2009 04:26 PM

It would seem like sunlight would accentuate the flaws. Is this another moonroof trick?:icon17:

nogoodname 02-14-2009 04:54 PM

^^ nope, i dead serious....the sun rays will activate the clear coat...which causes a reaction to take place and the clear coat will even itself out kinda......the reaction just fills in the gaps, which would be the swirls.....

frost 02-14-2009 04:58 PM

Shenanigans! lol

LiquidZ 02-14-2009 05:37 PM

So self-healing paint comes on these cars now?

nogoodname 02-14-2009 05:48 PM

^^ yes, it does come the new cars...... not sure about the altima's or sentra's.....lol

Do you have any official info?

Not doubting, just wondering.

Yeah I saw that. I'll ask the dealer and see if they have an answer (more than likely not).

nogoodname 02-14-2009 08:19 PM

^^ let us know what they say

it's really called Scratch Guard, i read it in the Popular sci magazine awhile ago

bossman 02-15-2009 06:20 PM

man the black z is so beautiful, i love how the butthole is practically invisible on it

nogoodname 02-15-2009 08:37 PM

^^ what buttholes do you speak of ???

No pun intended, but you seem pretty anal about the "butthole" and bimmers. Are you sure you want the Z? If it bothers you, pass on the car already. Check it out in person. It really is not that bad.

Sorry for the off-topic but I get sick of the butthole comments.

nogoodname 02-15-2009 09:23 PM

what butthole.......hello ???

ohh wait...the fake fog lamp in the back??

bossman 02-16-2009 12:20 AM

man par4 i love the z.. im getting one. but i still can't get over the tackyness of nissan and not taking off that fake fog light, the bumper would look SO much cleaner and sexier

takahashi 02-27-2009 11:26 AM

if there is self healing...im convinced on the black.

what fake fog light do you speak of?

nogoodname 02-27-2009 11:30 AM

^^ The US model has a black rectangle plastic on the rear bumper.
on the JDM model and CDN, there's an actual LED bar in it.....looks like an F1 light in the back
