370Z Nismo S-tune Z34 spotted! 12.18.08

Well looks like you can order the s-tune kit when you place your Z34 order in Japan. I thought it wont go on sale until next year but I was wrong. Here are some pictures :

Nice Find!!!

Agreed.

BTW, I never understood the "step in the rear bumper" concept.

Is there must be a step on the rear bumper on all Nismo?:icon14: At least the new one is a little less obvious than the 350z one

AK370Z 12-18-2008 11:48 PM

So that's where they got the idea from. Interesting....

I think that's the only thing I don't like about Nismo design. Everything else is good except the step on the rear bumper. But again this is just my opinion.

MC 12-18-2008 11:54 PM

yeah its directly based of the R&D from the racecar

you can really see the comparisons here. the NISMO 350z came directly from this.while some aspects are still present in the the S-tune 370z its more of a street car aero design to me

diskreet 12-18-2008 11:58 PM

I understand why... but I hate the way it looks. I wouldn't mind a more aggressive front and rear, but nothing that disrupts the lines of the car that much.

Slidefox 12-18-2008 11:59 PM

And then Greddy followed suite...

ya to me the front of the new S-tune is too aggressive compared to the rear which is more sublte than the NISMO 350z version was. its more like the S-tune add on rears from the 350z

i think the front design would work if it was integrated into a long nose full bumper not just an add on lip

Supergoji 12-19-2008 09:02 AM

nobody ever said function was beautiful.

nogoodname 12-19-2008 09:29 AM

I'm still not a fan of the skirts and lips.....it's just too square for a body filled with curves......lol

and the shelf on the rear bumper is just plain old weird....

I think the side skirts could work but the the rear and front are no, no's. I think aftermarket body kits for the Z34 that use a less is more approach will be FTW.

I mean the front bumper on the Z34 is something that you would probably normally see in a aftermarket kit. So some sides and nice rear might be all you need. IMHO

mcwuppy 12-20-2008 10:01 PM

That kit is so ugly it looks like the Bugatti Veyron took big massive crap of diahreaha and this kit was the first to come out. This style is 15 years too late. An overweight racerboy ricerocket. Only fast & the furious teenagers and kids that can't afford the car would love this eyesore. I don't know how else to describe it. :barf:

nogoodname 12-20-2008 10:18 PM

^^^ the 80's called and what their style back

Very cool that you can order it with that kit but I want mine to be nice and clean no exterior mods not even wheels unless I get the wheel bug as well.

MC 12-21-2008 05:40 PM

im pretty sure the one we are getting in june isnt this same kit

Sorry guys I really try to like it but Im just not a fan of this kit. The front looks like a catfish that got punched in the mouth and got a swollen lip. :ugh2: Just too much going on. That flat piece add on over the opening is cheapy looking imho...Maybe in the dark colors this kit will look decent to me.....Maybe....

mcwuppy 12-22-2008 10:25 AM

it just makes the car look like a cheap used honda that a teenager bought and added crap around it because he enjoyed the fast & the furious so much. This is not gonna sell at all.

X2

Funny you should make that comment too, because lots of reviews have described it as very "Fish" looking.

Possible new Nissan aqua marine model/bolt ons?

All I want for Christmas is a Nismo 370Z with a snorkel. :icon17:

18rgcelica73 12-23-2008 10:53 AM

I think that nismo kit is a little over the top for my taste. I really just want a nice clean looking z with a lot o' powa

LawtotheRence 12-25-2008 08:43 PM

the z34 looks awkward wingless

MC 12-25-2008 08:58 PM

they should have painted the gunmetal the outer lower lip areas and left the rest of the front red. all gunmetal makes it look more of an ad on that it already is

rear skirts look good two toned though

SnakeBitten 12-27-2008 06:30 PM

^^Sorry man that is NASSTY. Dont know how all those lumps of hidiously shaped plastic could possibly look good to anyone especially on a curvasious car like the 370z. Especially the front lip. Good gawd its nasty. Even Pontiac doesnt run wild with the excessive plastic cladding like it used to. That plastic piece over the front opening is WTH????Looks like lipstick on a pi...er Catfish.

The 350z's Nismo V1 kit and V2 front were sweet. They should have designed something similar for the 370z. This one boggles my mind. Seems like the designer designed this looking at a Nissan Cube and not a 370z.

+1 on the Snorkel option lol.

18rgcelica73 01-05-2009 01:45 AM

Yeah it's like they said, ah scew it they'll buy it anyway.

The Geek 01-05-2009 09:31 PM

Sorry folks, not for me. All I can see is the 8 year old neighbor kids sneakin up and steppin on the rear steps so they can see inside the rear glass.

18rgcelica73 01-06-2009 12:57 AM

Yeah why would you want a protrusion for someone to hit it with a bike or step on it.

TacoZ 01-06-2009 01:08 AM

Hopefully the 370Z Nismo V2 will be better. Cleaner lines PLEASE!!!

Does anyone know how long it took for them to come out with the V2 for the 350?

18rgcelica73 01-07-2009 10:32 AM

Well with the introduction of the new 370z all the aftermarket providers have been working extra fast to produce products for us z heads.
