That can potentially look very good if created, those parts would look good with LED's there.

I say send it to Nissan USA to add to the collective ideas bubble for the next concept Z.
|
Diddo it would make the Z very exotic looking

Damn that does look niiiiice.

It can be done with some cool fab work with Plexiglas diffusing the lights. You can stealthily mount a strip of LEDs behind or underneath it. Just think about light diffusing panels in LCD backlights.
For the covers, you'll need to mold some plastic or fiberglass. Sand, and then paint the whole housing satin black. If someone can do CF housing, I'm sure this can be done as well. In other words... do it!!! |
Only recommendation I can say with this is get rid of the dimples if you do it...

Looks like a job for 180 customs.

I quickly modified your image as this is what I always imaged it should look like or some version of the boomerang as the light signature. More of a solid band of light versus the landing strip (which I think is also cool).
I also added a front view image. This should be on the rear as well and would make a strong statement and would look very new and exotic I think. I hope some company or someone will make an aftermarket lamp like this for the 370Z. Attachment 66621 Attachment 66622 |
I have other ideas that I would like to see made as aftermarket parts. I just want someone to make them...

When I get a sec i ll do a quick rear view. At night you would know its a 370 from front or rear if it made the boomerang shape.
I'd buy it also if someone does it right |
