Article cliff notes:

a. titanium muffler exhaust

b. Normal wheel, but the Potenza RE-11 tires are fitted. The size Fr: 245/35R19, Rr: 275/30R19. Normal Fr: 245/40R19, Rr: 275/35R19 than the outside diameter of less than 5 percent.

c. LSD has been replaced, but at this stage for the prototype of the details were not disclosed.

d. The first lap of 2 minutes and 6 seconds in a reasonable time. However, Tsuchiya said before entering the first two laps in the pits. In lap brake was ineffective.

e. After 4 laps, today the best lap of two minutes and four seconds.

f. Rigid body, especially up the rear of the stiffness seems to be working. The Z34 is a high degree of perfection of the body Tsuchiya, who admits that he said.

I think it is. BTW, I should also mention that they kept saying something about when oil temparature reached 130 C it goes into fail-safe mode?

VQ37VHR engine, engine oil temperature to 135 ℃ to take over and fail-safe

very encouraging, great photos too, thanks for sharing

Aw bummer, I heard the G37 gets limp mode too.

I think it limits revs to 5-6k or something. I can't remember details but I remember some people complaining about it on MyG37.

It looks like an oil cooler will be a necessary upgrade for any one interested in tracking?

Namir 12-08-2008 08:34 PM

Ok I just found the threads I was thinking about.
Limp mode thread 1
Limp mode thread 2

Apparently Stillen is working on one for the VQ37 thanks to the G37 guys. Should probably work for the 370Z too I assume?

"TORQUE CUT CONTROL (AT HIGH ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE)
ECM receives engine oil temperature signal from engine oil temperature sensor.
To avoid VVEL performance, ECM performs the engine torque cut control at high engine oil temperature.
If engine oil temperature is too high, engine oil viscosity will change. As a result, engine oil pressure is
decreased. This control is to control the VVEL operating angle by operating the VVEL actuator sub assembly.
If this control is operated, engine performance will decrease, then maximum engine speed is reduced a little,
for example.
NOTE:
If the engine oil temperature sensor is deteriorated, its characteristic will change.
In this case, the operating temperature for engine torque cut control might be decrease.
Perform Component Inspection of the engine oil temperature sensor to check for the deterioration.
Refer to EC-248, "Component Inspection". "

Is it 5900 RPM? I think that's what I just read. I think Mine's working on the solution :excited:

Great info. Def need a solution for this.
