Finally got my Z! These pics were taken at the parking garage at my work the morning I got the car. It got off the truck the night before.. was inspected and purchased the day after .. and then driven to that garage. No wash or detail yet. <3

Agreed! I was actually leaning towards the Gun metallic until I saw the Magma red in person. It looks really good - much better than the solid red, I think.

There are at least a couple Magma red owners on the forums.. hoping they'll post some pics here. I definitely will once my car arrives! I don't even have a VIN yet. :eekdance:

The magma red owners must not like their cars much. Either that, or they're too busy driving them to take pictures for us.

Magma Red looks very good compared to Solid Red

yay! finally some pictures for this thread! Just picked up my '13 magma red sport. I bought this car without seeing the color in person and I was a little nervous thinking i might not like it, but its great in person. Extremely happy with it.
The dealership where I got it from is about an hour and a half from my house so the ride back was awesome. anyways heres a couple crappy iphone pics. Hopefully the sun shows itself tomorrow and I can get some good shots with a real camera. enjoy.

Looks great!! I like how the orangeyness changes depending on how the light hits the paint. It shows off the curves so well, too. Can't wait to see more pics!

Completed agreed! It makes a big difference. In the shade, it looks kinda .. bland. Sparkling in the sun tho .. you see all the different shades the paint is capable of. :yum:

I agree 100% in the garage its OK but in the sun its a stunner. wishing the sun would show its face here :yum:

That is very true, I love the more aggressive body of the nismo though. When is your car suppose to arrive?

I don't have a specific date yet. I don't even have a VIN! It is supposed to be built this month, though ... and the dealer thinks it'll arrive towards the middle to end of next month. However, the order form in their system shows an ETA of December, so ... I really don't know.

No need to twist my arm :) Its been rainy and gloomy here lately but Ill try to get some pics up.
When I started looking at the 370z about a month ago all the dealers said they couldn't find any within 1500 mi radius from here and I should buy a 2012, they all said it would be at the earliest first couple weeks of December. I got a call from a different dealership a day later saying they found 3 within 250 miles :shakes head:

Thanks for the shots. I especially love the ones that show the orange hiding beneath the red. =]

yeah this color is kinda ho-hum in the shadows, but when the metallic color can be seen...:yum: :cool::cool: :driving: It really looks amazing when it can really shine. You bein in AZ (where I wish I still lived...) you will have many more amazing photos than me.

Did you curb the wheel? Looks like it in this pic.

no thats left over plastic the dealership didnt pull off. I've been picking at it trying to get it off without damaging the wheel. Its almost as if they wrapped the rim and then put the tires on, its tough to pull off lol.

Yeah I had the same thing with the plastic. The best way is to take a pencil or pen and cut it from the inside and peel it off. If you don't take it off, it will heat up and burn onto the rim.

I just went outside and used a pencil like you suggested, worked perfectly. The plastic was pretty brittle now that it had been heated up a few times. Im now working on getting the plastic out from behind the door panel on the inside lol.

Does the orange still show at night if the car is hit by direct light (say, by another car's headlights)?

It shows up under flourescent and normal light bulbs so I would ASSUME it would show up.

I'm kind of indifferent to this color, now. It's subdued compared to Solid Red... The LED lights have grown on me, though. The wheels, too.

yes it does seem to go from dark "flat" red at times in the dark/shade to the really nice orange metallic color in full sunlight. Heres the best way I can show it really. Its one of those you have to see in person to really get the whole picture. Hope this helps a little.
