Looks great! i think the nismo rear would set it off

SPOHN 08-31-2011 06:29 PM

Nice pics

vividracing 08-31-2011 06:52 PM

The car looks great! I'd like to see it a LITTLE lower. You could go a bit lower without compromising functionality.

Did you want a critique on the photos, as well?

NFSZ86 08-31-2011 06:55 PM

Nice car just more pics want a rim close up lol

Kingbaby 08-31-2011 07:09 PM

agreed...

more low or more tire

looks fantastic the way it is though...

Ya im thinking of either going powertrix or KW coils just to bring the rear a little more low. The front I cant go any lower, I was on h&r's before and hated driving the car that low. Especially now with the nismo lip im scurred to go any lower. Yes please critique the pics, he's my friend so I can give him some ****

Ya I wanted to go 255/40/19 F and 305/35/19 R, but nobody makes a 305/35/19. The only other option was 255/40/19F and 305/30/19R and I just thought the 40F-30R would look weird.

Kingbaby 08-31-2011 07:42 PM

what's the specs currently?

I think some coilovers would really set the look off. We've always got good pricing on KW stuff, btw.

The pics looks pretty good. The only thing that really sticks out to me is the lack of dynamic range. Some dodging and burning would really help. Not sure if he's using layer masks, but on at least 1 shot, I can see the masking needs some work. Using layer masks makes this a lot easier. The last thing I'd recommend is not shooting INTO the sun. This will avoid the subject being cast in a nasty shadow. If you're using strobes, the shadow looks cool. Otherwise, don't shoot into the sun unless you're bracketing exposures.

I'm sure that went way over your head unless you're a photo nerd like me lol but your friend might know what I was rambling about :ughdance:

I do really appreciate the feedback and will forward it to my buddy who will prob understand much better. Damn jerk not giving me my dynamic range and layers and such

He did say he wanted to do a night shoot with a flash, so Im assuming that will look cool too. Ill let you know what I decide on the coils. Right now im contempt and just enjoying the car. Thanks again!

Updated with moar pics!

karotZ 09-04-2011 06:07 PM

I'm no car nor photo professional - what I can see is the photo with
the factory on the background is too busy, the grass and other stuff
was kinda distracting.

For the Z, looks sick bro. The rims make the brakes tiny though, IMHO.
Complete the look with a BBK, Nismo rear and black glossy roof. Other
than that, looks sick!

frost 09-04-2011 06:20 PM

Looks good to me. I actually like the factory shots

Ya I've been kicking myself since day one for not getting the sport package if for nothing else, the brakes alone. Will prob throw a set of stoptechs on there if I ever go FI. For now I can't really justify the practicality of a bbk with just bolt ons. The 40th brakes would look pretty cool too just for the bling factor. After all the madness I went through with my nismo front end conversion, I can say I'll prob wait on the rear if I ever even do end up goin that route. In all honesty none of the rear ends out there really do it for me. Thanks for the feedback man!

KaienZ34 09-04-2011 06:49 PM

Match the door handles to the wheels, shave the front emblem and your done...IMO

frost 09-04-2011 06:58 PM

I'm sure it's just me, but without the fangs, the front looks a little too plain to shave the badge. Instead, I'd paint it (and the other emblems) black.

Totally agree on the door handles.

Ya door handles I've always wanted. Prob wont happen until end of the year realistically. I need to take a little break from modding and rebuild my fundage. The front burger Ive gotten quotes from 2 or 3 shops and its just not cost effective enough. Thanks

Man let me tell you something about these avante garde.... fuc^#ing money! They are hubcentric so the ride is perfectly smooth, and i didnt have to mess with spacers or hub centric rings. Perfect fitment imo. I thank Econ for my inspiration.

Armonster 09-04-2011 11:17 PM

I really like that hood, and the drop looks pretty good as it is. Just need some bigger brakes behind those rims.

The Seibon hoods are really well made and fit just as well if not better than the oem hood. The CF weave looks like it was done by machinery its so perfect.

The drop is somewhat conservative, but many including myself think that the conservative drop of the swifts is perfect as far as functionality goes. I just wanted a tiny bit less gap all around so yesterday I pulled the trigger on some powertrix coilovers. Pretty impressed with them so far. I'm gonna post a review after a couple of weeks of dialing in the dampening settings and an alignment. I'll post a couple of iPhone pics tomorrow.

GetYourWheels 09-13-2011 07:03 PM

Looks so good!!!

GetYourWheels 09-13-2011 07:06 PM

Only 2 photocomments

Wish there were secondary strobes on the wheels. Black wheels tend to get lost sometime

And if that was impossible some composition photography would have gone a long way in making certain parts of the car like wheels and or dark spots in the photopop more.. Just like Vivid said a tad more dynamic range.

GetYourWheels 09-13-2011 07:17 PM
