Love the Stillen front splitter. How is the ground clearance? If it wouldn't be too much of a bother do you think you'd be able to post a picture of it from the ground level? I've seen a lot of members on the forum snapping these off..

Looks great on your car!

mantella87 08-24-2011 03:30 PM

Yeah I'll definitely put more pics up soon. At stock ride height I'm not too worried about this splitter, since it basically sits as high as the bottom of the fascia. I cleared a speed bump I am required to get over to enter my air base with no problem. Like many before me have posted, I recommend real hardware for the installation and not the self-tapping screws that come with the lip.

Nick911sc 08-24-2011 03:36 PM

I've been contemplating a drop on swifts, that's my concern for the lip height. As far the hardware goes, being in the insurance industry I have a close relationship with some body shops who I'd probably just have them attach it for me securely.

mantella87 08-24-2011 03:41 PM

Yeah I'm thinking about a drop as well. I had my lip installed by a shop too. I would have done it myself but I've never done a lip before and I don't think a 370 is the best car to learn on haha.

Nick911sc 08-24-2011 03:41 PM

haha, agreed!

TheGreatOne 08-24-2011 03:58 PM

Looks really good, I want one! Probably after my car hibernates for the winter.

mantella87 08-24-2011 04:07 PM

Thanks man. You've got a solid three months before winter though right? I'd put it on now man. :driving:

I want to but I think the other half might notice another mod

"all $$$ is going to the baby fund" she declared lol.

She probably wouldn't notice though..I once got Leather Recaro seats installed in my Lancer and she didn't notice after sitting in them :rofl2:

So the stillen splitter sits lower than stock? By how much would you say?

karotZ 08-24-2011 06:18 PM

Now you need Evo-R sides and Branew rear diffuser to complete the look. :stirthepot:

karotZ 08-24-2011 06:20 PM

Anyone got a pic of this lip with blacked out fangs?

Econ's got a black car with this lip.

Looks good! I like this lip, but I'm just afraid that it might fall off... Let us know how it goes!

PapoZalsa 08-24-2011 07:54 PM

I have the EVO-R lip and it sits higher.

Boost_lee 08-24-2011 08:04 PM

I've had both the evo r and the stillen. Evo r is higher than the stillen. Both fit well, it's really a choice for personal taste.

I say the stillen sits just a small bit higher than the stock sport chin spoiler. I recommend using longer screws, or bolts with washers and nuts for the install.
Op-lip looks good

The lip looks good,... plus I'm not a fan of body kits!

Red__Zed 08-25-2011 07:46 PM

looks great!

MACSIMIZER 08-26-2011 07:55 PM

Ha, installed mine the same day. The mounting screw provided are a joke, definitely use nuts and bolts. Not had any issues being stock ride height with rolling and regular speed bumps.

cdoxp800 08-26-2011 08:09 PM

I was waiting for your pic to show up Tom.

TheGreatOne 08-26-2011 08:11 PM

Yup definitely need that...looks good man!

Thing is I wonder if I'll be able to get those EVO-R side blades to match up...seems to be hard to get in touch with those guys these days

MACSIMIZER 08-26-2011 08:13 PM

^Just found this thread.:bowrofl:

NewYorkJon34 08-26-2011 11:53 PM

Footloose301 08-27-2011 07:54 AM

Looks good from my end.

mantella87 08-27-2011 10:38 AM

Thanks everyone. Sorry I haven't put up any more pics yet, I will soon with all different angles after I wash her. I snapped this one with my cell phone yesterday.

Mac, I think the lip looks even better with your color.

MACSIMIZER 08-27-2011 11:09 AM

^It blends in well with the black. The car is all cleaned up and ready for an event tonight, I will try to get some more pics also. Stillen has the splitter on sale now with free shipping $236.19 to my door. So anyone that was on the fence about wether or not to buy this should take advantage of the sale. Nice piece for the price, just don't use there Mickey Mouse mounting screws.

ScGRaceR 08-28-2011 09:40 AM

different but nice work!

mantella87 08-28-2011 09:52 AM

At first I wasn't too sure about it because I'm like that about brand new stuff. I like the 370 a lot the way it is so when I put this on I had those second thought moments that people usually have. But after spending some time washing my car it definitely grew on me a lot more.

mtaxelson 06-08-2012 02:42 PM

Got my stillen splitter mounted up. just want to share.

had this splitter on for about 9 months now and its starting to warp towards the center. i know boost_lee has seen the same problem. has anyone else noticed this?

MACSIMIZER 06-20-2012 06:10 PM

Mine has been on for about a year, it sagged in the middle after about 6 months but has not gotten any worse since then.
