Official 370Z Convertible Pictures Released 4.7.09

Like the new interior color, but I don't feel the convertible yet. There's something in the rear fenders that I don't visually like

The 370 vert definitely benefits from the longer nose, but it still doesn't compare to the coupe, imo. The enjoyment of the open air can't be denied though... Why not meet half way and bring back the sport tops that were so popular in the 80s and 90s?

I like the effect of the cherry color paint, but I've never really been a brown/red/purple color scheme guy, I tend to black/blue/grays. It's kinda like the pearl white has a hint of pearlescent effect in it. maybe they'll try another color at some point.

Oh yah, I WANT those seats. The exclusivity has me a little concerned when (hopefully not if) it'll make it to the coupe.

I wish I would ever consider buying soft top. Verts don't like me, not since my parents took sis and I from Vegas to Hoover damn with the top down. We were in the unprotected back. I think our eyes were swollen for 5 hours. Faces hurt like hell. It's strained our relationship (parents and verts).

In my opinion, it would be nicer to design a hard top, convertible, instead of an soft top.
It would be competing in another league also, with the new BMW Z4, Mercedes SLK, Lexus SC 430, etc... giving Nissan another sport-luxury perspective 2 seated.

+1
this would have looked so much better if it was a hard top with the coupes roofline.

hard top = more weight and the roadster is already a heavier car, as-is, with the soft top. also, we're only going to see 324 hp in the roadster, right?

Thanks for the pics, I'm really torn. I'm looking for my first Z and my first spots car, I've always been a muscle car owner, so I am torn. I'm used to riding a motorcycle and like the open air experience, and I imagine that the small cost of performance won't be that bad, it's not like I'm racing it.....

The 350Z roadster added 200 lbs. Vettes and Vipers are designed as convertibles in the first place and the roof doesn't have to add structural support. Cars that aren't originally designed as convertibles require a large X frame underneath or some similar setup to make up for removing the roof. This is what adds the weight.

Love it! I was looking for roadsters but kept coming back to the 370 coupe and almost bought one. I'll see if I can hang in there until 9/10/09. Hope it doesn't get pushed back.

If Nissan made this a hardtop convertible I'd definitely have waited for that, but soft tops never really impress me. Especially living in DC, we only have so many days of the year to put the top down, the car better blow me away.

I originally was going to buy the new Pontiac Solstice hard top, well that didn't work out.

Adding a hardtop to the G37 also added over 400 lbs to the car.
