I'm looking at a GM Z and it seems like from some angles the bumpers look like a slightly different color from the rest of the body. I came here to see if it was just an illusion and it seems that way in some of the pics in this thread too... its almost like the metallic is slightly directional for a lack of a better term. so if the bumpers are painted at a different angle from the body in the factory they light up differently in the sun.

the Nismo at peal harbor a few posts earlier demonstrates exactly what i'm talking about. Even the gas cap just looks slightly different...

Im not hating...i really love the color and im trying to make sure its not a repaint issue. Id rather not spend money on a used car that's had the bumpers resprayed.

When you look at your GM, do the bumpers seem to look like they are just slightly a different shade? or am i crazy?

Someone may already have asked or posted one, but does anyone have a picture of our color z with black rims? More specifically, the sport package rims plasti dipped, or powder coated? Or maybe even gun metal rims?

I'm sure if you troll around the wheels/tires section you could probably find a pic. You could also just look at the 40th anniversary Z's- they are a slightly different gray than gun metallic but they have the same rims and they come in a dark gray color. It obviously wouldn't be exactly the same color but you could probably get some kind of a general idea of what it would look like.
