Sorry to hear that, but glad your OK. Thats def totalled. Repairing that much damage would not be safe anyways. Panels can be fixed, but frame damage like that is not worth the trouble. Was your passanger OK?

oboloori 10-12-2010 01:46 PM

Duuuuuuuude. That sucks! Let me know if you're selling any parts. I'm interested in buying a stock spoiler.

Yea thank god the passanger was ok, it was my closest friend and he got away with a few scratches on his arm and no bruises, wasnt even sore the next day.

Rhinetom 10-12-2010 02:01 PM

Glad to see the Z can take a punch. Glad you are OK.

I doubt he can easily remove the stock spoiler without breaking it as some people on here have tried. If he has it totalled, the insurance company technically owns whatever is left of the car. I don't think he can remove parts like that, but I could be wrong.

Good to hear...and hope you get back into another 370Z...

NYBladeZ 10-12-2010 02:24 PM

so if you hit the pole at about 70 I'm guessing you were over 100 when you hydroplaned? I'm also guessing that there were minimal if any street lights and your headlights caught the water to late...

you have to buy the totalled car back from the insurance company to take parts off of it, usually not that expensive and in this case it's probably worth it, im sure the engine/transmission and a lot of other parts are ok.

Generally the maximum speed limit for feeder roads in Texas is 55 with many in heavy traffic areas at 40. Going a bit over the limit?

Sorry for your accident and glad you and your passenger are okay.

mick 10-12-2010 03:01 PM

sorry to hear about your accident. it goes to show that some days, the car should not get out of the garage.

Jason 10-12-2010 03:03 PM

ouch! glad you guys are alright. like others said, that's definitely totaled.

shoopajae10 10-12-2010 03:44 PM

glad no one died..

whats the full story? did you punch it a lil too hard? looks like you're still in 2nd gear. which would make sense to be goin pretty damn fast to reach 70mph. =X

shabarivas 10-12-2010 03:46 PM

wow that hella sucks man - glad you guys are ok - If you ever (for whatever reason) decide to buy back from insurance I am sure you will have a lot of juicy stuff to sell - Let me know if you want to get rid of those headlights - Your Z can vicariously live through the Zs of others!

Hope you get into another one soon!
