Very nice photos!!!

I'm really going to try and make it up there sometime, it's on my travel list for sure!

Those are some nice pics, I really like the different take on some of the interior parts! And the reflections off of the stripped crossing on the street.

Do you have any locations in mind? One of the primary goals of this shoot was to avoid just throwing the car in a location and then taking pictures, which is pretty standard fare. The car(s) should interact with the environment in a way that makes the viewer see or think about things (whatever they may be) in a different light; our cars are interesting enough by themselves, the problem is finding an environment that matches it ;)

I agree with you 100%. I will def keep you posted. It'll be Black 135i, Black 335i coupe, Black E92 M3 and a Monterey blue 370Z

Invite for next photoshoot though please! Black and White yo!

Damn, foiled by popular locations! I'll let you know about the next shoot we do; I think scheduling and setting up times has been the biggest obstacle thus far when it comes to photo shoots.

Thanks, zero! I saw some of your pics, too - they're very nice. You should do more night shots :)

You should drive up here haha. Not to trying to self-ingratiate, but I feel like if you can drive in the city, you can drive anywhere in the world, from Arizona to Kabul.

Thanks! I really liked the crosswalk stripes also; they're like free racing stripes for the car haha. And its like their reflections make the Z look like a lion in zebra's clothing.

I also got my motorcycle license recently, and was looking at a FZR6 - any thoughts on that bike?

Oh sweet, thanks for the shoutout on the FB page! I think the multiple cars give a ton of possibilities -imagine the cars all lined up on 6th Ave!

Wow! As a photographer myself I can say that was some serious work and you produced some beautiful sharp and creative images. And the Z looks hot!

gatorfast 06-29-2010 06:26 PM

Cool pics!

Random question...are tinted tail lights the "in" thing in the ny/nj area? I feel like almost every car I see posted from that area has tinted tails. Not just this site either...the bmw and vw forums I visit as well.

CrownR426 06-30-2010 12:54 AM

Yes, here in the area its common for tinted tails and windows.

I guess it is an "in" thing. It is rather ubiquitous - there's a dude with a white Camry on my block who tinted his tails... and I've even seen it on clunky color-faded minivans :ugh2: But I tinted mine because I felt like there was just too much taillight; too much red in the rear. And I only partially tinted the taillights on my car so its "different" haha.

Did another session in the same general location at 3am yesterday; here's one of the pictures from that shoot - sort of like a preview haha. Had to do a bit of... 'trespassing' to get the shot, but I think it was well worth it :tiphat:

The last shot took about 5-6 attempts, and still didn't come out as clean as I wanted :(

WOW. (Overall)Your detail shots are very good and the night shots-Superb! I’m blown away!
I apologize if someone previously asked, but what are you shooting with? & would you happen to have a flickr?
