Question Fuse boxes

Could anyone can tell me how many fuse boxes in our z?
I got one under steering wheel and the one before brake fluid and the one in the battery location. Because my daytime running light in my headlight doesn't work. I plugged a bad 194 led bulb then it doesn't work anymore. I mean the yellow led in headlight that need to be weld or soldering doesn't work too. Hope u guys can understand what I'm trying to explain. And where is the right fuse for that bulb. I heard from the dealer theres another fuse box in the dashboard but im not sure about it... If is right do I need to take off the dashboard or anyway I can locate it without pain in my ***. Thanks!

Default Try the Manual?

I think the information you want is in the PG section of the manual...somewhere in there. If you don't have access to a copy, email or PM me.

The other fuse box is a rectangular shaped black box in the battery well thats bolted to the fender panel vertically. You wouldn't think it was a fuse box but it is. There will be a large bundle of wires coming from it, that's your cue. I believe the box slides up if you pull on it and comes free. The cover you have to pop off from the bottom side of it, but once you pull it free, it's a lot easier to access. This should be where your culprit fuse is.

Pic would be great. I found the box, but only see a few fuses on top. I have an issue too. Must be common on this car =).

OK, I figured it out so I took a bunch of pics.

You need to take off the battery cover, shroud that holds the cover on, and the trim between the shroud and the windshield. The last piece slides away from the windshield. It was a pita to get in there the first time, now it won't be so bad.

Also, you will have to re-initialize the power windows if you disconnect the battery. I'm not so sure you have to disconnect the battery.

No you do not need to disconnect the battery. If it helps pulling the box out that's one thing, but it is not mandatory. I was able to get the box out without disconnecting the battery.

Glad I could help. I disconnected the battery during my expedition. You do not need to disconnect the battery, I just didn't know that until it was already off .

Thats usually how it is with any install I do, I wrestle my way through it. Finish, just to find out there was one simple little detail that I could have done to make my life a hell of a lot easier.
