dropped my deposit on my new carrrrrrrrrr
dropped my deposit on my 15 nismo tech white 6mt (floor mats + illuminated kick plates)
i know i been going on and off about mt and auto but its time for change and i been driving my friends Z and I'm loving the manual. i got a killer deal on my nismo tech. now my dealership has to fight with other dealerships to get the car and swap it. going to have it shipped here instead of them driving and abusing my car. pics will be up soon within a week. i appreciate everyones help in helping me pic auto or manual but manual was the better choice since you only live once, might as well enjoy a nearly 50k car the right way. |
Congrats, manual is so much more fun to drive imo.
Plus you get to enjoy those 3.90 gears. |
Congrats on the new ride.
M6:rock: |
Does that mean we can't argue about manual vs auto anymore? :ugh2:
Just kidding! Congrats sir, I'm sure you will not be disappointed! :driving: |
thanks guys, can't wait.

How can you sleep while waiting for it? I am surprised they are dealing on the 2015 Nismo already. How far is it from the invoice, may I ask? Quote:

good stuff man! that's a sweet deal...
too bad we get flogged in canadia... even used like-models (including the exchange rate) it's cheaper for the ones in the states by a few grand. you'll enjoy the manual though + SRM you will be fine for the most part. when in doubt spray some gas! |
That is a sweet deal. :driving:
Congrats. You can officially drive it like you stole it. |
enjoy man !
|
You need to post pics as soon as you get your hands on that baby! Congrats!!

 for going with the 6mt

I need to catch up on Nismo's. I never realized they are in the 40K+ range. :)
Congrats. |
C'mon 7at guys. You all chimed in on his "2015 Nismo tech 6mt or auto" thread and now can't congratulate him after he decided to go with the 6mt? This means you to Jordo :p
Congrats OP. No dumping the clutch or power shifts till you get used to driving a manual, ok? lol |
Over $40,000 for a Z is just crazy to me, cant you get a used GT-R for like 50-60k? I think its worth saving an extra 10-20k for a GTR, your getting a supercar with back seats.
|
What a great early Xmas gift to yourself. And you chose the correct transmission too, nice job.

i bought a brand new nismo tech and their is no better feeling than getting a new car. my time will come when i will buy a gtr and that will be in cash. |
2015 nismo tech has no power seats and no heated seats which was i a bit bummed on but those recaro seats (10k worth) makes up for it, makes the interior that much nicer.
|
Well I can understand the "new car" feeling, I bet it feels amazing! My co-worker just got herself a brand new Audi A4-S line for like $45,000 she seems to be happy lol
EDIT: I found a couple good deals online. Both of these have under 40k miles on them. http://i.imgur.com/3UHORYi.png?1 |

Well yeah of course the GTR is tough to live with, im sure it cost a fortune to maintain as well, he could just twin turbo his 370z and be close to a stock GTR in performance and have a newer car. But I think as nissan fans we all dream of owning a GTR one day haha
|
Congrats on the new car. Great choice with the 6MT, you won't regret it.
|
i don't know about 'smooth' shifts if you're still new to the manual... especially the Z. the SRM will definitely help aleviate any overly rough shifts.
all i can say is... who the f- cares about what others think. your money, you spend it how you please. do what you want. all that matters is ENJOY THE MOFO CAR!!!!! ps canadia offers the 2015 nismo now BUT no auto version is available based on the website |

OP, congrats on getting the car you wanted and liked best and at a very good deal! Looking forward to pics -- enjoy! BTW: It's the "right choice" or "wrong choice" comments I was ranting and raving about, not the "great choice/you won't regret it!" posts -- very different implication there... :p Ah, never mind... OP is happy with purchase, thus, everyone who bothered to post should be happy too, and that includes me  |
Congrats!
Please share with us how did you manage to get $4000 below MSRP for a 2015 Nismo Tech? What did the dealer gain from such transaction? Again, you won't regret choosing MT |

Guys what are your thoughts on no power seats and no heated seats ?? I'm a bit bummed on that. Such a expensive car and nissan couldn't even manage to put heated and power seats
|
congrats on the new Z! I always found heated and cooled seats to be useless. Just turn on the heater or ac. However, i do live in CA and have never used heated/cooled seats

6MT unless you don't have a left foot...
congrats!! |
Congrats evil, you're getting a gorgeous car!
Not sure why someone would need power seats on a 2 seater. Also, living in Honolulu, I dislike heated, leather seats and I'm not trying to be funny. My last car, a g35c came standard with heated, leather seats. When parked in the sun, the heating element in the seats would heat up, and not cool down for awhile because your body heat keeps it in, even driving with the a/c on. Plus leather does not breathe like cloth so your back becomes sweaty and stays that way until you get out of the car for awhile. Non heated, cloth seats for those of us in warm climates is probably the best. |
