 for going with the 6mt

cab83_750 11-27-2014 01:36 AM

I need to catch up on Nismo's. I never realized they are in the 40K+ range. :)

Congrats.

C'mon 7at guys. You all chimed in on his "2015 Nismo tech 6mt or auto" thread and now can't congratulate him after he decided to go with the 6mt? This means you to Jordo :p

Congrats OP. No dumping the clutch or power shifts till you get used to driving a manual, ok? lol

czirrfb 11-27-2014 10:43 AM

Over $40,000 for a Z is just crazy to me, cant you get a used GT-R for like 50-60k? I think its worth saving an extra 10-20k for a GTR, your getting a supercar with back seats.

Mt Tam I am 11-27-2014 11:02 AM

What a great early Xmas gift to yourself. And you chose the correct transmission too, nice job.

i was looking into a GTR, there all 2009 and up, starting from 55k but their mileage is nearly close to 100k. which is pointless cause GTR's are meant to be beat on and you never buy a used super car, you don't know what problems you end up getting especially if its out of warranty, you're screwed.

i bought a brand new nismo tech and their is no better feeling than getting a new car. my time will come when i will buy a gtr and that will be in cash.

evil370z 11-27-2014 11:15 AM

2015 nismo tech has no power seats and no heated seats which was i a bit bummed on but those recaro seats (10k worth) makes up for it, makes the interior that much nicer.

Well I can understand the "new car" feeling, I bet it feels amazing! My co-worker just got herself a brand new Audi A4-S line for like $45,000 she seems to be happy lol

EDIT: I found a couple good deals online. Both of these have under 40k miles on them.

That is still 20k dollars more and 5 model years older than a brand new Z. I would have done the same thing as OP. Plus his insurance would have been twice as much with the GTR.

czirrfb 11-27-2014 12:08 PM

Well yeah of course the GTR is tough to live with, im sure it cost a fortune to maintain as well, he could just twin turbo his 370z and be close to a stock GTR in performance and have a newer car. But I think as nissan fans we all dream of owning a GTR one day haha

b15 11-27-2014 12:15 PM

Congrats on the new car. Great choice with the 6MT, you won't regret it.

mishuko 11-27-2014 01:31 PM

i don't know about 'smooth' shifts if you're still new to the manual... especially the Z. the SRM will definitely help aleviate any overly rough shifts.

all i can say is... who the f- cares about what others think. your money, you spend it how you please. do what you want. all that matters is

ENJOY THE MOFO CAR!!!!!

ps canadia offers the 2015 nismo now BUT no auto version is available based on the website

i know i been going on and off about mt and auto but its time for change and i been driving my friends Z and I'm loving the manual.
i got a killer deal on my nismo tech.
now my dealership has to fight with other dealerships to get the car and swap it. going to have it shipped here instead of them driving and abusing my car.

pics will be up soon within a week.

i appreciate everyones help in helping me pic auto or manual but manual was the better choice since you only live once, might as well enjoy a nearly 50k car the right way.

Good job (on selecting manual).

Now, now... I only just got here :o

OP, congrats on getting the car you wanted and liked best and at a very good deal! Looking forward to pics -- enjoy!

BTW: It's the "right choice" or "wrong choice" comments I was ranting and raving about, not the "great choice/you won't regret it!" posts -- very different implication there... :p

Ah, never mind... OP is happy with purchase, thus, everyone who bothered to post should be happy too, and that includes me
