...anything to back that up? Besides "the internet said so" ? |
You guys think one seat in black would look weird? I was also thinking of getting an aftermarket seat, but just the driver's side and in black.

I see it all the time in track cars, driver wants a more solid seat but not worth the cost to double down, all in your purpose and goals. |
if the car is street driven, ill almost always say get a pair of seats. if its track driven, then screw the passenger, just buy one :)

Note that if you are going to track your car at all you will:
need similar restraint systems for both driver and instructor (IE, belt layouts, not necessarily the exact same seat) need a harness IF you end up using a fixed back seat I vote save up and get two matching seats. Cobra makes good ones too, I wouldn't count them out. |

I have no personal experience with Brides, but go to the track and see what those people use. Cobra, Kirkey, Recaro, Sparco. Not too many Brides. They may be great seats, but I think the JDM FANBOI crowd just jumps on them too much because they come in cool colors or carbon fiber. |
