OP you will drive yourself to distraction if you think about all this too much. I think you have already chalked this up to experiance and do have a good attitude.

Pursue with Nissan and maybe it will be resolved. Buying a car for $30K is about the same as $30,240. Not even 1%. Perhaps you will be offered a maintenance package as compensation.
