Toe Adjustment

All,

Ok I installed the SPC rear camber arms, but see the additional bolts, etc, for making the toe adjustment. I haven't read of anyone using the Toe parts when doing their camber arm install.

Does anyone have any pics or a step-by-step of how to properly do that install? Or is it just unnecessary...

Btw, what are the specs most of you are using for the rear camber? (I am sure the alignment shop will ask)

I think what I am really asking is: Are our stock toes adjustable? Because if they aren't, then I am foreseeing a REAL problem with feathering on my rear tires after installing these rear camber arms.

SPC rear camber arms come with eccentric toe bolts. It's sold as a set because both must be installed. A template is included with the bolts so you can properly enlarge the hole in the subframe for the new toe bolt to do it's job. The factory bolt has a very narrow span of adjustment, the one SPC provides has much more eccentricity to it, allowing for alot more degrees of adjustment

Thanks all for your tips and advice! Here is what I found/did:

After putting on the rear camber arms, the toe had changed enough to cause the tires to feather. I finally figured out how to adjust the toe (and install the SPC Toe kit). So I installed those, and took it down to the alignment shop.

The specs can be found in the 'manuals' section on the forum under 'Service Manuals':
2009 370Z Service Manual

You will most likely will have to bring these measurements into the alignment shop, as they probably won't have the specs for '09 370z.

They are:

Rear Wheels (L/R): Camber (d = degree): min -2.16d; nominal -1.67d; max -1.17d.

Total Toe In: Distance: min .079in; nom .146in; max .213in.; Angle (degree decimal): min 0.09d; nom 0.15d; max .21d.

Front Toe: min .05in; nom .08in; max .11in

I hope this helps all you guys like me that are pretty inexperienced with suspension adjustments...
