Don't apologize, just clean it.

Jerggy13 08-30-2014 06:17 PM

Owned the car for 4 years now and never saw that.

2xtreme1 08-30-2014 06:26 PM

umm, wait where it this?? now I am going to run to my Z, when I get home to look for it.

cooltoy 08-30-2014 06:27 PM

Underneath the liner, I guess.

mab864 08-30-2014 06:29 PM

The shop that installed my stereo scratched my center console during the install so they ordered me a new one. I discovered that little hiding spot when I was installing the new console. Very sneaky.

Open the lid on your center console. Slide everything in there forward and look back toward the area where the console and the lid hinge together. There's a little plastic piece designed to keep small items from interfering with the lid opening. That's what's in the picture.

jaedub 08-30-2014 06:37 PM

How do you get it to open?

ShutokuZ 08-30-2014 07:08 PM

Slide it up.

Codename067 08-30-2014 07:27 PM

Any chance you can take a picture from a further point?

Well that's great but it says in the op its for emergency cash. There is also a better one if u pull up the plastic ring around the shifter. Mine is a 7at so I doubt it works for the manual but maybe. It's definitely a nice size spot just pop it up, insert meds :yum: and close. Your welcome!

See now everybody knows, including thieves. :p

4TthAnnyZ 08-31-2014 12:31 PM

I had to take the piece completely out but it fits a full size 9mm pistol pretty well. Easy to access too.

Dirk McGurck 08-31-2014 02:54 PM

There's so much room for activities now.

Osiris 08-31-2014 03:04 PM

still confused as to what area we're talking about. That piece doesn't move as far as i know? Any pics?

Cool toy you are the f-ing sh**!

Aescen 08-31-2014 04:34 PM

So I looked at this, removed the panel, and there's like no room in there for pretty much anything worthwhile. Plus it totally looks like anything that would go in there would get swallowed into the abyss.

TexasChuck 08-31-2014 04:47 PM

Safe?

The safest place for your cash (not your stash) is in your front pocket! Anywhere else is subject to someone coming across it.

ShutokuZ 08-31-2014 06:38 PM

iPods and phones fit no problem for me. Haven't lost anything into the armrest abyss yet.

Yeah. Like my $20 bucks!

Good news is with a panel tool I'm pretty sure the center console comes apart somewhat easily. If that 20 bucks is worth it to you.
