fix for weak remote buttons

I am sick of activating the panic or unknowing lower all the windows because the buttons are easily pressed when I bend down or lower myself. Anyway to fix it or should I just buy a new one?

Thanks

I have the same issue when sit on the floor to install paint protection on rockers. Everytime with out fail I'll set the alarm off. So far no fix and I won't keep all my keys in my front pocket either lol .

I remember seeing pictures of leather and/or plastic cases for the fob on here somewhere, so you may try searching for that to see if that makes the buttons less prone to accidental presses.

I've had the same issue with the fob for my wife's Altima, but, so far, have not had a problem with my Z's fob. If I do, I expect I'll get one of the cases to see if that helps.

I have to remember to remove the FOB from my pocket when working on the car, because at some point I will set the alarm off if I don't. I wouldn't call it weak buttons. It happened on my '09 and it happened on my Focus, that had a similar iKey. It's just bound to happen if the key is in your pocket and you lean, bend, or twist just right.

I wish it were that easy. I dressed like a "skater" growing up, so even today, regular sized jeans just don't feel comfortable. I would never wear skinny jeans. My mechanic wear usually consists of a pair of baggy gym shorts and I can set the panic off in those.

I got this. It's great and only $10. Real leather.

PS. I replaced the fugly clip.
