Sure does, which benefits me and my time line. still is a long time. if its true I wonder if theyll just continue with the Z34 platform till then or kill it off in 15 or 16? |
If they do put 10 years between the 370z and it's successor they better go big especially with it also being the 50th year anniversary of the Z.

More info on the next 370Z
A member on here says he talked to an engineer at zday 2014 and we can expect a 2017 nismo rs with stock forced induction to send the 370z out with bang. Any bets that's gonna be a close to 50,000 dollar nismo lol... Just sayen

I think some of you are overthinking thisCarlos Ghosn Nissan restructurization. Nissan started with the bread and butter cars on design overhauls. then the restructure the SUV/crossover market. while doing this, the Z got small updates and price restructuring. It feels to me its taking long for the Z to come out because of the way they are systematically restructuring. Also, they don't want to make the same marketing and pricing mistakes that they made with the Z 34. they want to build Nismo name into something more meaningful than just badgesand appearance mods with minor tunes. restructuring a sport car segment is much more difficult then the bread and butter cars. Have patience and give nissan a chance to show and prove. I think we will be happier with the Z35 than with the current 34. |

I am not sure about the bold comments above. After all didnt we get posts of nearly all Nissan models being tarted up with Nismo aerostyling and interior lately? To me this indicates them merely milking their current vehicles and not really caring about the true meaning or performance orientations of a Nismo and what it should at least stands for. In essence I think Nissan made their statement showing that Nismo is nothing more than a badge and extra income potential for them. |
Off topic here is the New FT-1 teaser. There is no way this car is gonna be cheap...

Now... I'd pay 60k for that but there is no way that thing will be close to 60k.
|
With the power figures they announced for the FT-1 they can't go much past 60K IMO. Looks only go so far and around 400 HP isn't enough for me to justify 60,000+
