Yes... but, I don't think any manufacturers are quite ready to put out an affordable hybrid sports car.

The GT-R hybrid will come first -- and it will be at a premium price point.

if it does happen I will never buy it since we had a Jetta Hybrid with all the bells and whistles and after a year with only 7 k miles it depreciated it $10k....nomo hybrids for me

Thats why I don't pay attention to resale value. Fact of the matter is, any new car will start to depreciate as soon as you drive it home. I just buy what I like and sell it when I'm bored of it

yeah but 10k in a year c'mon but no point in trying to make a point, hybrids are really not a good value considering the price, the damage they do to the environment (nobody thinks of the battery), lack of room and performance loss, anyway I'm happy with my Z as is...nice read thou

Yeahh... I knew someone that had a hybrid once and when the batteries when out, the total cost of parts and labor was more than what the car was worth lol.

That's why Tesla has to warranty their batteries for Unlimited Mileage, else they wouldn't sell any.
