I don't know all the FD rules, but I know once the competition starts you can call a timeout for only a certain time to 'fix' something and if you do not get to the line you forfeit. So, simplifying the engine/car is key to staying competitive.

That all makes sense. I just figured nitrous would be a little bit too volatile, but who am I to argue with a pro drifter and his race team.

yup lol.. if you did a specific gear ratio it would pop a wheelie after going 180mph if i remember correctly lol

Looks like a tight fit! I wish they would put a V8 in these cars.

My opinion on the next Z, which follows the current trend, would be a 2.4L turbo... I wonder what they could call it.

Having been to Formula Drift for at least 8 years now I can tell you that there is a HUGE difference between the 300-500hp cars they all started with to todays +1000hp beasts. Even when the 600-700hp monsters go up against something with +1000hp you can without a doubt tell the difference. The cars with more power catch up to the lead cars so much quicker while still maintaining their angle. I was asking myself the same question before I saw it in action. hah

Damn a V8 in a 370...with 1000 horses...we gonna need a new button in the car...beast mode button!!!!
