What did you do with your Z today VI (ON TOPIC DISCUSSION ONLY)

Getting oil, clutch and brake fluids changed. Mechanics mentioned rotors could be warping so will need to look at getting new ones in the near future.

Need to do some research now

Unless you have over 50k miles or have been doing lots of 60-0 stops, I'd say you need to find a new mech.

Well I did mention to him a vibration during 70kmh or faster braking.... said possibly so they looking at it.

TIFU - Snapped a bolt while carefully tightening up the intake manifold bolts in an attempt to fix a vacuum leak.

I couldn't feel the "click" from the torque wrench, and I was still dealing with vacuum leak from underneath one side of the manifold. So I thought it wasn't fully torqued yet and snapped the bolt.

ouch! sorry to hear.

sometimes experience tells me just use a regular wrench and go by feel.

Would that be a vacuum leak or a pressure leak.

I guess it depends much on the frame of reference you pick.

Moved the Z from one garage to the other

Most its been driven in 2 weeks

Did get the lights up while it was moved though

Yes, I know the right hand side is not lined up perfectly, will be done later.

LOL thanks. It might already be an issue before I started maintenance work since I planned on doing a leak test, but I guess the leaky intake manifold pretty much explains it.

I do feel for your having to deal with broken bolts. Always a major pain.

Got my Z dyno'd today at AWDTuning in Flower Mound, TX. They use a Mustang Dyno.
Good gains though. Temp. here was 90 degrees and very humid so the numbers seemed low at first glance but Keith, the tuner, put up a file of a stock Z's baseline he tuned last year and compared it to my bolt on modded +tuned Z and it's a drastic increase.
