Three weeks?! What was damaged? It only took a week for repairs to my left front quarter.

They let me borrow a Rogue... While it was not a terrible car, I think I would have rather had the Sentra.

^lol yea sentra's actually not too bad

I have damages to rear bumper, rear quarter panel, rear wheel, and might have some suspension damage as well...

Getting meguiar's gold shampoo/conditioner, tire shiner, qd juice today after work... it's supposed to rain this saturday but sunday is my date!

gots to do the wash, spot clay/buff/polish, and re-wax because i like the smell.

and the battle continues...

kenchan 08-19-2014 11:41 AM

mishuko- i think you are ready to try real detailing juice and tools. :D

kenchan 08-19-2014 11:44 AM

for me, i :yum: at my spotless Z and G and was happy to go to work in my MT dd parked outside.

All this detail talk reminds me that it's about time for a clay bar and more wax. It's way too hot though. :(

yah, it's definitely a lot of work.

btw, ive not had success with meguiar's "soft" clay. they start out soft but
turn coarse and hazed the hell out of my Z's paint early on. i hated it.
had to polish that out..extra work =

i only use griot's soft yellow mud clay. definitely use disposable gloves.

:shakes head: Every day man, every day! I thought yesterday was going to be dry after work, nope. Downpour halfway home.

i got the PC 7424XP, 3 different lake country pads and use the ultimate line compound / polish and the gold wax. once i'm out of compound i'm going to check a sampler of the 105 and see how it goes. I do like the polish though so i might stick with that for now.

for clay i am using mother's (it's yellow too) + mother's QD... it's not bad i just spray some more QD ater i'm done to clean off any residue. i'm going to try the meguiar's QD once i'm done with mother's but i need to source some concentrated QD to make life easier.

this whole cleaning ritual thing is very relaxing... requires lots of elbow greases and time but it's something that puts me in that special place
