Haha I hardly drive as I live within a 10 min local drive to work, so I rarely see police on the road when I'm in the Z

Your factory wheels are +40F/+23R.
So 15-20mm up front & around 10mm/R,
Wait till after your suspension mods/alignment & make a plumb line on level ground-then measure up your gaps....you may want to be conservative or aggressive.

That would be my recommendation,so you can get the fitment you desire.

Excellent! Thank you.

Yeah, I was getting tired when I posted last night and forgot to mention that I would be doing the spacers after the spring install. Who knows, I may like the fitment as is.

One thing I don't want is vibration. When I had the 25mm Z1 spacers installed on the stock 18's and tires, I always got vibration up at 55+ mph, especially around 70-75 mph where I cruise at on the highway. It was annoying as hell too.

And yes, they were installed properly, and even double checked a few days later to try and resolve the vibration issue.

She is getting lubed today in her most sensitive parts and will be very satisfied after. I am sure she will reciprocate by giving me happiness on my drive home.

Just so we are clear, tranny and diff fluids and coolant flushed for the summer. Plus brakes. Clear that dirt off your minds.

Getting an oil change at the nissan dealer today. asked about their tranny drain and fill; they wanted 160$ if anyone is curious, i said why not. Currently 65k miles. Car is my DD and racecar. 09 7at.

Cant wait for my fast intentions resonated high flow cats! Should be here in 4 more weeks after having a 2.5mo wait. No one really has an rhfc on their Z that i could find so i cant wsit to hear it! Also a akebono upgrade in the works!

Edit: it made a huuggee difference on transmission after the service. Everything just feeels soo right! Upshift and downshift feel has improved dramatically. Did not ask if it was running low or of anything was wrong..

Been wanting my a-pillars and mirrors blacked out. Finally got around to it today. Still looking for a set of wheels I want. Taking forever to make that decision...https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...581c33324b.jpg

Put on some rear add-ons.

Changed out the torn o ring inside the radiator hose inlet and voila, the resurrection is complete! My Z is now officially fixed!

dropping it off to get new tires. went with the continental dws over the s04's bc of longer wear, quieter, cheaper and better in the light snow. we shall see.

flushed my clutch fluid. Transmission fluid is next

I switched the non-res test pipes for a set of 1320 resonated pipes. I also had a muffler shop add a couple of hangers to the front of my CBE because there are 2 flex pipe pieces so it was hanging down too far.

ChopsZ 05-27-2017 06:17 PM

First thing done today... I removed that stock support brace from the ART pipes in hopes of eliminating that vibration/creaking/rattling sound when accelerating hard in 1st gear. Removal made no change. That noise is still there, and it's only after installing the ART pipes a few months back that it does it. No idea what it could be.

Second thing done today... Finally installed the Aero Workz carbon fiber lip/chin spoiler. It's only been about 10 months that it's been laying under the couch. LOL

Lastly... Finally installed the Shine Auto rear spats (bumper add-ons). I'll have to take a pic of it later, but the fitment of these things suck! Lots of trimming and grinding to get them line up somewhat with the lines of the car. The right one looks pretty good, but the left one is about a half inch out from the groove/trim piece that goes around the exhaust. On top of that, the thin tips that mount above the exhaust tips won't stay stuck to the bumper. I used the provided tape on them as well as quality 3M automotive tape. Within minutes, both of them start pulling away from the bumper. Not very thrilled about these things at all.

On the plus side. they look great at a distance, and my friend did a great job of painting them. I just need to address the issue of the darn things sticking properly to the bumper. Maybe use some of that 3M 4200 marine adhesive sealant.

Anyway, on with a few pics... And yes, the car is filthy as $*&# right now.

That's odd I had absolutely no fitment issues with my rear spats

axmea? 05-27-2017 06:23 PM

Chase, those spats need a good quality silicone and clamps to hold them in place overnight. They never install with ease. I've heard the same with the JDM pc. from Sunline Racing. It is how FRP cures from the mold. Just a lot of curves with the Z.
