What did I do with my Z today....where do I start. Okay, I took a bath, dried my hands, laid down a mat to kneel on, bow my head and worshipped it. Then, I picked up a cloth and a glass cleaner and set about removing spots all over, pulled the car outside (garage light is too dark) and carefully looked over everything while thanking the lord for having blessed me with a Z.

I did not notice the sunny skies had darkened and before I could push it back in, the skies opened and the Lord answered and my car and I got thoroughly wet. So now, I am in the garage, drying my car...

That is crazy. As long as you are good, the Z can be repaired/replaced. I've had the car in some pretty heavy rain at highway speeds and she's been stable. Maybe a serious oil slick?

darkphantom 07-27-2016 01:34 PM

It really felt like an oil slick, tires are at 6-7/32 front and 5-6/32 rear

Crazy how quick something so innocent can happen like that.

Got caught in a downpour the other day and there was a ton of standing water on the freeway. Thankfully the RE11's held fast.

Hope it is a quick road to recovery for your car.

At least airbag didn't deploy. I lived in Houston before and I know that location, one of the widest stretch of 59 (like 6 lanes?), good that your car didn't swing to the right side or it would've been pinball machine style multi-car accident.

Today I got the first new in-cabin microfilter installed.

For last 120K miles I've driven without it after its purchase, and now I'm taking some pills for my allergy.

I am VERY thankful that airbags did not deploy nor that I hit anyone. Could have been a lot worse!

Edit: Saw the video. Geezuz ... that's scary. Looks like a hydroplane to me (experienced that before. It's not entirely unlike losing traction on black-ice). Glad you're okay!
