Got A few parts in today; so I began disassembly of open diff & I know it's been a while since I removed a carrier.....looking for a bolt that holds the cross pin in & found a roll pin instead/ ok.....punched it out & now (scratching my head) am wondering if ring gear bolts have to come loose to slide cross pin out?? Stub axles have to come out before carrier does?
Without doing a bunch of research- anyone know answer to this? Open A/T diff Attachment 112184Attachment 112185Attachment 112186 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Notice how close spider cross pin is to ring gear/ it won't slide past it to remove clips (if that's what's in there?)Attachment 112196
