Checked on my fuel pump today to confirm a suspicion i had and sure enough....the other metal rod that secures the cap of the assembly to the body of the fuel pump had snapped off so the fuel pump is basically just flopping around in there causing my traction control light to go crazy and cut power under high g turns or hard launches....anybody have an oem fuel pump assembly they are selling for cheap?

mishuko 07-04-2016 06:39 PM

finished adjusting my RJM pedal.

stalls in first if I let off? check

easier launches? check

rocket launches? check

3 point turns engaging 1/r/1 easily? check

hill start? check

spirited corners turns? check

my opinion is this is a very good purchase. really is an awesome upgrade and glad I did it.

If it's truly snapped then you might need a pump. If I remember right. There is only a spring on one side. I'm on my 3rd Z and the fuel starvation when pulling g's is not new. They finally fixed it on my 2015 Nismo. Don't convince yourself that a pump will fix the problem because it won't. It also shouldn't have anything to do with your traction control. That's just her trying to adjust for the track conditions which will wear your pads out quick. Just turn off the TC and drive her. You'll be a much better driver for it. Lessons learned

Loving my Nismo!!!

Trust me it's snapped, had the pump out and the whole rod was just missing from the other side of the pump along with its spring. Others have had this issue too with the way the fuel pump assembly breaks it makes the cars computer freak out because it's not getting the correct fuel flow from the pump. Found someone on here selling their whole fuel system though including pump so hopefully they respond back to me

Cool. I changed mine out when I put the Stillen SC on. Don't really want to sell it but if you get desperate I might part with it

I'll keep you in mind if i dont get a response from the other forum member....might get desperate sooner rather than later though as when i was looking at the other rod that's still attached it looks like it's getting stressed to the point where that rod will fall off as well

I just put mine in the shed after a 5 day, 2000 mile road trip. Montana to Las Vegas down Hwy 93 through ID & NV. 2 nights in Vegas and a return through Zion, Bryce, Escalante on Hwy 12 ( HIGHLY recommended) then north though Torrey, Price, Vernal, Afton, Jackson, West Yellowstone and home. Most of the time it was top down, roadster fun. It's a great way to see a beautiful section of this precious gift we were given by those that went before. Thanks to them and to you all. Happy Independence Day!

=/... even with the helper delete I was like 70% good launch 30% tranny like wtf mate

B&W_Evader 07-05-2016 09:15 AM

Blown diff bushing, I recommend upgrades!

Changed tranny and diff fluid. Break-in miles on the OSG LSD completed and it definitely needed fresh oil. About 1/5 of the 1st diff oil change shavings on the magnet. Will probable do another one in a few thousand just to be nice to it.
