Well, you know those washers are reusable right. I have never needed to replace a single one of them, ever.

An automatic uses the same copper crush washer on the drain plug on the older cars, probably the same for this one.

They are noted as one-use washers in the service manual :tiphat: And IMO they are not expensive enough to bother reusing (even at the full retail price of ~$2.50/washer). I did once in a pinch when the dealer screwed up and only had one washer for me (again... idiots smdh). But if you look closely, they are definitely layered and do crush slightly. You could also probably reuse the copper crush washer on the oil drain plug if you really wanted to. I choose not to. YMMV

Are you confusing the copper crush washer on the oil drain plug for the aluminum washer/gasket for transmission/differential fill/drain plugs? Not sure what you're getting at with your second statement

Happened to me. I will make a plastic sleeve to cover any oil that flows into the top of the shroud. And not really fond of jacking up the rear to level the car. I find it to be a hassle for some reason.

holy crap, they charge you for the copper washer? They give them to me for free every time I go ask.

Yep. $0.50 apiece or something. I buy them in bulk so I don't have to deal with the parts counter idiots as frequently.

4 new MPSS installed and alignment done this morning. Of course I had to take the Z for a 30 minute drive right after, just to make sure the tires are round :icon17:

I understand why onzedge always gives the  for these tires, it's a really good choice.

Getting oil, clutch and brake fluids changed. Mechanics mentioned rotors could be warping so will need to look at getting new ones in the near future.

Need to do some research now

Unless you have over 50k miles or have been doing lots of 60-0 stops, I'd say you need to find a new mech. :eekdance:

At 2 am, you can almost pull it off... I'd say more like a trip to Waimanalo and back. ;)
