That's why it's so difficult to make it in the music industry, whether it be rap, pop, rock, etc. There are too many artists out there competing for your fanship. It's an all or nothing dynamic. You're either rich and famous, or you're a struggling artist living like a college student who will sooner or later fizzle out of the industry. It's no different than other entertainment venues such as acting, modeling, and so forth. And many rappers, although you see mansions and Bentleys and 1/2 nekked womens in they videos...I hear it's usually rented props, or they're property of rappers that actually made it.

"Geeyeah, fo sho. I'mma hit up dem n's in my hood. Flossin' my whip a 2014 Phantom that is, if n's trip, i'mma pull the Glock from my waist and let it pop pop pop!...Papa chasin' my game, it ain't stayed the same. My hood ain't stayed the same since I be hustlin' wat's a n gotta do?!..." <---trite childish babble. And the sad thing is, kids actually like this garbage.

that's very true... even in videos of rappers that made it they rent cars to put in the video. money can buy you things but it can never buy you respect.

kids just see cars and hot girls and want that so they go with it

EDM. I love how retro-electro is making a comeback. Anyone else?..

ShutokuZ 08-01-2014 11:51 PM

I love listening to EDM! If you like retro electro, check this label out http://rossocorsarecords.com/
Nothing better than 80's electronic music for retro!

How about this ...

EXCITING SOUNDS: Oscar Brand - Sports Car Songs For Big Wheels (LP, 1960)

RoshDawg 03-13-2015 02:13 PM

I have very weird taste. At the moment Koyaanisqatsi from Philip Glass, Lana sel Rey, or Rush. If my drive is longer than 10 minutes I'm listening to an audio book.

BC416 03-13-2015 02:16 PM

Anything but country.

ct2012 09-25-2016 01:01 PM

Reviving an older thread because I was wondering what everyone else listened to/wanted to make sure I was cruising correctly ;).

I've been loving blues-rock albums with a heavy beat while driving the Z.. examples:
God Knows I Tried - Junior Kimbrough, he made a bunch of great driving albums
Give It Back To You - The Record Company
Chulahoma and Thickfreakness - Black Keys

For longer drives, my absolute favorite is Eat a Peach by the Allman Brothers.

Might be outside of some peoples' tastes (first heard them on Sirius "Jam Band" channel) but Greensky Bluegrass's album When Sorrows Swim is also real good, especially the song Kerosene. It's more bluegrassy (obviously) and part jam band but fast bluegrass in a fast car while driving winding roads makes me feel like I'm running liquor back in Prohibition.

Jsolo 09-25-2016 02:02 PM

Transformers sound track is pretty good driving music :)

fins 09-25-2016 02:48 PM

Anything on SiriusXM Channels: 7, 14, 24 :tup::tup::tup:

roadie 09-26-2016 10:29 PM

Skrillex, Disturbed, FFDP, classic rock, and country. :)

Mashups, mostly because they are super long and everything flows together. My favorites - DJ Schmolli, DJ Morgoth (and Mashup your boots), Fissunix (good metal mashups), Mashup-Germany.
