Well, I'm taking the car to paperboy for the headlight mod today. Blacked out, dual halos, sti clear lenses, and white shrouds. I don't think she'll notice at first but who knows.

OMG I am sitting around nervous today. My wife is NOT a "car person" and I just got the Z a few days ago. This morning she had my key fob in her hand and asked "how does this thing work?"

I was like, "Um.... why? Are you driving it to work?" (I work from home)

She said, "yes I want to see why wanted this car so much".

(can't think of a good excuse for her not to take it)

So I said, "well let me turn it around and get the seat jacked up so you can see"

As she left she smiled menacingly and said, "I'll TRY not to wreak it"

She rolled to the end of the driveway and while I stood there sweating. WIDE OPEN THROTTLE FIRST GEAR ALL THE WAY TO REDLINE!!! I hear the motor wind back down and wait for the crash sound. But nothing...

So I go inside and call her, "Did you figure out how to take it out of manual?" :rofl2:

She said "Yep, I got it" as I hear the car screaming down the road in the background.

Oh man I had to hide my Z for about a year before i got busted when my son slipped our secret on her! Oh boy for I was in the dog house for awhile.
I have the Z for 2 years now and she has not ridden it since.

Does that tells you how much she loves my car?
Whats with wives having issues with cars!

I wish I have Hucks wife! Ahhh I mean somebody like her who love for her man's car!:ugh2:

Now you know why she is happy you did not get the Cayman otherwise she would be worried you might end up with a mistress!

Lol, I know how you feel, I used to be the same way but now I just let her do her thing. Only thing i stay on top of her for is parking too close to the entrance at the grocery store and shopping malls where all the 300 pounders get out and slam their door into the car.

No she was certainly not on-board with the Cayman plan no matter how many times I explained why it was so expensive. She was o.k. with my ~$25k used Z :happydance:

cayman rides like a frikken stiff car from the 90's imo... this day and age, it's all about smooth and fast.
