You Guys are gonna like this one.

So this morning im going to work, and this cop is at a light on the other side of the street and im at a red light as well. The lane I was in goes from one to two, so the left lane can turn left at the light. So im right at the splitting area and my car must have just barely went over the two yellow lines for like....a split second? and so im waiting at the light and the left signal comes on and i take the turn and the cop takes the turn with me from other side of the road (a right turn). Turns his lights on.

Walks up to the car, says to me:

COP: is this your car?

Minsu:?????yes it is my car.

COP: You know you were driving on the wrong side of the street, you crossed the double yellow line and was improper passing?

Minsu: (nods head, doesnt say anything)

COP: Im gonna need your Registration.

Minsu: its in the back of the car under my carmat near the spare tire.

COP: Oh, ok, then dont worry about it can i get your insurance.

Minsu: Sorry its in the back with the Registration.

COP: hmmm ok, Also why didnt you get your car inspected yet.

Minsu: Im busy, i have school in the morning and work at night then school after work and im not home till 9pm.

COP: you know inspections are free...

Minsu: I just said im busy.....

COP: Ok forget everything, whats your name.

Minsu: Minsu....

COP: Ok ill be right back.

COP: Ok i COULD have given you a ticket with points but heres a $130.oo Dollar ticket just pay for it.

Now in my head im thinking wtf? He didnt take my registration, didnt look at my insurance, AND didnt even ask for my license once? Da fk just happened?

Sigh just SIGH.

Why do you keep your registration and insurance in the back where you can't get to them?

Minsu 05-27-2014 10:24 AM

Everything is in a folder neatly stashed away under the mat where i wont lose them.

Chuck33079 05-27-2014 10:27 AM

That's retarded- you can't get them when a cop asks for them. Put them in the glove box like the rest of the world.

The law is the law lol... I got a reckless driving ticket, because I went 10mph over the speed limit in a curve. The lady cop told me "you could have lost control and hit someone." I never crossed from my lane, the tires when screeched or anything like that. I Had to get a lawyer $600 and pay a fine of $440.

I wish I could say I almost won the lottery and collect the jackpot lol

Minsu 05-27-2014 10:28 AM

My GPS, Gloves, Tissues are in there, no room :)
And I think having it here saved me this time around lol, cop was feeling lazy.

Chuck33079 05-27-2014 10:29 AM

So much facepalm. How do you outdo yourself with each new post? It's two pieces of paper.

Minsu 05-27-2014 10:31 AM

Lol why does it bother you so much where my papers are? I feel safer with them in a folder tucked away in the rear undermat. 3 replies picking at my placement of papers seem much more facepalm imho...

Chuck33079 05-27-2014 10:34 AM

Because you had to tell a cop your documents were where you couldn't get to them. You don't see an issue with the inability to produce insurance and registration when asked by a cop? Really?

Some Officers just nitpick so much! I think the saying was in the 5 minutes that a cop follows you, its almost impossible to NOT break a law.

Ok this would make more sense if I didnt have papers, My papers in the back of the car, if the cop really wanted to me to get my papers I CAN, and I WILL. There is no problem there im not going to get a ticket for having my papers back there. Therefore there are no issues because I have all my papers. Does that address your concerns?

Do you have a bill for $130 in the name of Minsu? I'm not sure I read your situation correctly.

You're right, we're gonna love this one....

Minsu 05-27-2014 10:44 AM

I think he looked up my plates and gave me legit printed ticket. Ill have to check the ticket once i get back to my car, i couldnt really look at it, was late to work cause i got pulled over and was in a hurry to get into the office.

Simmer down Nancy. You can very well get a ticket for that. Do you think a cop is going to go let you start rooting around in the back? Do you think a cop is going to allow you to get out of the car and start searching around where he can't see your hands? He'll write you the ticket and you'll be able to get it dismissed in court. It'll waste your time. I give. Keep your stuff wherever you want. You've been allergic to logic, good sense and the ability to drive well your entire tenure here so I don't know why we would have expected anything else but concentrated dipshittery from a new Minsu post.
