I went to the dealer about two weeks ago, sat on a gxsr 600 and it intimidated me, sat on the 250 and it felt more ownable, called insurance company for a quote and it shot it up like $150 so im currently debating if i want to take on more payments atm or if i wanna wait a bit so i can pay the full one year insurance as well as the bike straight up so im thinking around 6-7G's. So i might want to wait a little, as i feel as if its the better financial decision.

Edit: That and I tried haggling for the bike but iono, it didnt work lol.

And I think having it here saved me this time around lol, cop was feeling lazy.

There's a small compartment behind the passenger seat and that's where I keep my papers. Maybe you can put them in there or is that full of stuff also? :ugh2:

I know it's been stressed enough but seriously put your papers where you can easily get to them without freaking out the LEO as you go digging through your trunk. Having your drivers license and papers in hand when the LEO walks up to your car will make their job easier and you may just get a warning for being so easy to deal with.

To the guy who had his Jeep broken into 6 times...

1. Get a Viper alarm system

2. Move

The last thing I worry about is my car getting broken into. I worry more about my rims getting stolen! :p

Good advice Elan, but I think Jeeps are just more prone to break-ins.

1. I would only get broken into when the soft-top was used. Knives cut it like butter. Now I have a girlfriend that doesn't like getting her hair messy so the hardtop is on year-round :rofl2:

2. At the time I lived downtown Victoria ~ British Columbia's capital. Beautiful city, low crime rate. I was just lucky I suppose lol. I have the luxury of a 2 car garage now though

You just attract thieves! Good thing you got that garage now!

I'm the opposite of you. I have papers and ID in hand hanging out the car when they walk up to me. I got pulled over last week and the officer accused my car of smelling like weed and thats why I had my papers hanging out the car blah blah blah. Had to sit on the curb while he searched my car. FTP

Ok im from Canada and im not too sure how BIG your registration and insurance papers are;)

Here, ours are approx 2"x3".......
Your telling me you can't fit that in any of the compartments we have in our car:icon14:
If you need to put that in a huge hatch back they're either monstrous 50 page books or one flew over the cuckoo's Nest:roflpuke2:

"Dem crazy coppers......I like to keep my vital paperwork INSIDE the spare tire. If they want it bad enough, they have to follow me to a pep-boys and get the bead broke. If I'm lucky, we pass a donut shop, and I can distract them with some jelly-filled...

No registration in this state. It's all in the DMV database. They've already checked all that registration data by the time they've gotten out of the car. As to proof of insurance, you can keep it on your phone. All they really need is your drivers license.

If you're shopping for a 1st motorcycle I'd steer clear of a sport bike (even a 600) unless it's a 250 or one of the newer 300s. Even "slower" sport bikes swerve, accelerate, and brake a lot faster than new riders can usually anticipate, which invariably gets them in trouble.

If you already know how to ride disregard this and get whatever the hell you want.;)

I'm trying to figure out why anyone would care that much about where someone else has insurance papers. No reasonable excuse has come to mind.
