Warranty Expiring Soon, what to check?

My 370 runs up to 36,000 in another 500 miles.

Is there anything in particular i should have them check out before the bumper --> bumper is gone?

Thanks for ur help!

How's your clutch pedal? CSC acting up? I've heard some dealerships are trying to exclude the CSC under the drivetrain only warranty. Of course they can't jerk you around under the bumper to bumper. Just a thought if you've had any issues.

I didnt think the clutch or any part of the clutch assembly was covered under any kind of warranty??

Clutch plate wear is not cover just as brake pad wear is not covered under warranty. The hydraulic actuating system for your clutch (master cylinder and CSC) are covered under warranty. They should be covered under the power train warranty as well but some dealerships are trying to exclude it. I've had mine repaired under warranty but I still have the bumper to bumper inplace.

Well Osbornsm,
If you drive your car like a race/drag car, like many on this forum do, maybe investing in a long term Nissan backed warranty (before your factory expires) wouldn't be a bad idea? I wouldn't use any of those 2nd/3rd party warranties but based on the posts I've seen here, a Nissan backed extended warranty is nice when "My 2nd to 3rd shift at 7000 just started grinding" etc.... requires a new transmission/driveline out of warranty. :)

my warranty's been long gone with only 14k miles. lol :D

i think csc is the only thing that might break on my car down the road, but probably not while im the owner. im real easy on the drivetrain even though i drive spirtedly.

Interesting option, i shall look into this.

And yes, i am hard on my vehicle. My "closed course" practices are especially rough. But i do have oil cooler, brake ducts to help with some of the heat issues of the Z.

I think that I've read here that Nissan is much more willing to do the Nissan extended warranty on a car that's within the 36 month and in good shape.

Have to be careful with mods though. If I had the option I'd have the Nissan extended on my car, but it's too old.

:( that sucks. it appears people that do hard launches/shifts and burn outs wear those csc out sooner.

i read about the same issues on the G35C/350Z. my G is 10yrs old, original csc. lol

I can't communicate: I meant that my 36 month warranty was gone at 17,0o0, not the CSC. My CSC is still OK at 21K. I keep the fluid clean and don't hard launch.

Actually -- it's 3 years/36K.

Are you sure you are not already out?

I think all depends on the date it was first sold and titled -- meaning if you are not the original owner, it started with that person. I'd double check all that first.
