Ah, that's good. I'm only at just over 27K on my 2011, but found myself scrambling to get a last few things checked just under the wire.

Okay, my short list of items to consider checking -- note that this is what I would call a "fussy consumer" list, meaning, some may consider it a tolerable annoyance or at least not worth the trouble of going to the dealer, but, if you got a warranty and its about to expire, why not use it? :tup:

There is at least one TSB for all (or nearly all) of these -- PM me if you can't track them down.

1. Trunk -- does it ever stick or ALWAYS pop open on one push of button. This is a 2009 issue that continues to crop up. The parts are cheap, and swapping out the trunk poppers is easy, but again...

2. Nav issues: Some are tough to trace down, like intermittent ipod quirks (could be the connection, the usb, the ipod, the song, the nav software, etc.), others include occasional screen black out, and GPS maps not up to date. Just something to check over.

3. A/C issues: Rare, but best to make sure all lines look good etc (esp. if you have the Gen 3 intakes, which can rub against the hard lines and damage them).

4. Inaccurate fuel gauge readings: My 2010 did it, my 2011 doesn't. Sometimes they replace a fuel sender, sometimes the whole cluster. Sometimes, no matter what they do, it comes back or magically goes away. Either way, if yours is occasionally wonky, might as well see if they'll take care of it now while it's covered.

5. Fuel door locking issues: I think a few folks have had fuel filler doors that failed to lock with the car -- worth checking.

6. Intermittent poor response from outer door lock/unlock buttons: I'm actually not sure if there's a TSB for this one, or if there's anything close to a definitive fix, but many owners have discovered this now and again.

I think that about covers it -- if you find anything else amiss, it's likely to be a random one off or something covered under powertrain (e.g., CSC failure) or recall (e.g., steering lock).

It's also worth doing an off-site search for any new TSB's that may have cropped up (most are on here, but not all), and also worth doing a quick search for the G37 too (note, "Infiniti" officially acknowledged the oil consumption issues some folks have had long before "Nissan" did...).

Customer: You had to check?
Service: Is there anything else i can do for you today?

What is it about the Service desk at a dealership that you get the worst customer service? Can't even take a joke :icon23:

i think they will tell you that only nismo's come with turbo's.

I may take it in and ask them to look at the CSC, just in case...

Nothing feels wrong anywhere, but I guess it couldn't hurt to have them give it a once over?

...would they charge their "service fee" ($100 or so) though to check it over?

theyll just do a quick test drive to tell you it feels normal. or do a clutch fluid change at your expense.

if it feels okay, id just leave it alone. ive not touched anything on the clutch side of things on my car other then that helper spring.

Haboob, as long as it's not losing fluid, and you keep the clutch fluid cleaned (just remove all old from reservoir with turkey baster and then refill with name brand DOT3/4 and cycle clutch pedal until clear, rinse and repeat etc.). I keep my clutch fluid so clean it's transparent, and I also keep an eye on the level in the reservoir.

I'm a preventative maintenance kind of guy. :)
An ounce of prevention....clutch fluid, get it?

Interesting how you say it grinds from 2nd to 3rd at 7K rpms ,because my Z does it from 1st to 2nd at 5k rpms, and my Z only has 10,500 miles on it. I gotta get that looked at.

My car never shifts at 5K, let alone 7k, that was a hypothetical yet often repeated symptom here on the forums. I was trying to illustrate the stereotypical expensive problem that usually would be covered under drivetrain warranty that falls into the grey area between 3 yr warranty and the 5 yr drivetrain warranty, that's all. If I romped on my car as many seem to do, then the bumper to bumper extended warranty seems like a good investment.

Like I have said before, I can't communicate.

I caught a grind from 1st to 2nd once when I was coming out of a toll booth around 5k rpm also. I almost **** a brick at first, but it hasn't happened again. I guess I'll keep an eye out on this as well now.
