So, how do you like the Corvette? :) |
I have to agree with everything you just said :tiphat:
The corvette is it a great car and I love to drive it. It has all the power and is comfortible to drive. |
:rolleyes:Yeah, get rid of the Z, and get a car that you will have Absolutely NO problems with. Let me know what that car turns out to be.
And my dealer offers a car wash after EVERY service call, no matter how minor, for those who want it. I stopped in to pick up some touch up paint, and they offered me a free wash. Some dealers suck, some don't. |

They also offer a free wash anytime. Just drive it by and they'll run it through right quick. It's an old car wash with the big brushes! I bet that's why all their new cars on the lot have swirl marks :shakes head: They also do not follow their own recommended oil weights. The car calls for 0W-20 (full synthetic that costs around $60 at the neighborhood shop). The manual says you can use 5W-20 (synthetic blend) if you can't find 0W-20, but you should only do this once before switching back to the full synthetic. However, the dealer offers $35 oil changes via email coupon. I confirmed that they will never put 0W-20 in it if you use these coupons (I asked specifically). I now change the oil myself because I can use Mobil 1 0W-20 for the same price they charge for 5W-20 and I don't have to be inconvenienced by taking it to the dealer. |

Kind of a douchey response. I wasn't asking if I should trade my car I'm a part of a community and I wanted input from that community on something of relevance. Just tapping into the experience of others on a car I've driven but never owned. Judging by most of the responses It was a valid topic of conversation. It was my like some ppl that post "hey u guys think I should buy a Gtr I make lots of money and I want one"....where everyone knows exactly what they're gonna do they just want a response. |
The Mustang GT was about my fifth choice for a car to replace my Lincoln LS that my daughter wanted for her high school graduation present.(370 was first but I'm too tall) I went to look at one at the dealership where my wife works and left with a G37 coupe. The build quality of the Infiniti and my wifes 370Z is leaps and bounds better than any Ford product. If you need a backseat you should seriously consider a G37, coupe or sedan. The GT I looked at was a '12 with 5.xxx miles and I could have bought it for 26k without an employee discount.(it hadn't been on the lot long enough) The original sticker was over 39k. I personally wouldn't trade a Nismo for a Mustang, but you can do what you want.

Modified CSC with stage 3 clutch/fly wheel kit + turbo fixed nissans poor CSC.
I like the new mustang looks but would not take the hit in cost for it though. Not worth it in my book. I would rather drive it till the motor blows and drop an LS motor in the Z but the Z is a keeper for me. |
If it's not the actual 302? Don't do it.

1) Steering lock failure....get a tow 2) CSC failure....get a tow 3) fuel starvation from right hand turns with more than 1/4 tank of gas in a car thats supposed to be made to handle tight....wait for an hour till a truck can bring you gas 4) Annoying hatch squeek from tolerance loostening 5) Limp mode due to oil overheating 6) Axle clicking 7) VLSD which isnt really an LSD after 10k miles ...and more Is the Z exclusive? yeah. Is it fun to drive? yeah provided it doesn't randomly leave you stranded. Is it built better quality than a mustang? no, no it isn't. Granted all of these issues are fixable, most cost a pretty penny but the z was for sale to the same crowd the mustang 5.0 was available to at around the same price. The reason they are exclusive is because Nissan couldn't sell them. Props to Nissan for making a beautiful car but props to Ford for knowing how to sell one. |
It sounds like you want something new, so I'd just go ahead and roll with it.

Mustang... No. Everyone has them. They are not classy. That's just me, and each to their own but I'm glad I did not buy one myself.
I did look into them, the bang for the buck is great. I rented a 5.0 automatic on vacation, I really wasn't that blown away by it at all. I'd prefer to stay away from the Mustang and Camaro personally. There are about 10 of each on block I'm sure (exaggeration but you get the point). |
