^^ Ehw. Gross. Glad that changed before mass production. (Oh, just an add-on. Thanks MC)

Nissan should sell those Recaros like Ford Racing does. I'd buy them! Would be nice to get a good seat and keep the side airbags.

I will see If I can find pricing on these. it might be a little closer to the car release though. they are very similar to the Juke RS which are about $4K each ( they can be had for $2400) I would plan for that range

That's a hard pill to swallow. It was about $2400 for the Recaro pair for my Mustang. $4,800 for the Z is pushing it. At that price point I'd ask myself if the side bags are worth it. ;)

That would be awesome if you could look into that for us, MC.

once the service manuals and all that stuff are released to the dealerships for the 2015 model all of the pricing should start to show up. so thats when we will know more

Lol no idea why everyone sweating those seats so much those recaro sportster cs have been out for years in the aftermarket world. Looks like seating position will prob be a tad higher if that seat touches the headliner. Recaro seats are about $1200 each u can get them custom any color u want also

Because Nismo badge lol :happydance:

But seriously, the option to keep the SRS functional is actually pretty awesome (assuming putting '15 seats in something else would work)

It's a decent upgrade. I love the front bumper especially with the red trim. That wing looks wimpy though. I know a lot of you don't like the "boy racer" Nismo wing, but that's part of what makes the Nismo a Nismo. It's not supposed to be subtle, but aggressive. The old style does that perfectly without being a whale tail.

The seats: waaaaaant. Would probably be too expensive to do a swap though. Nav: meh. Everyone has GPS on their phones now, nav units seem a bit pointless.
7AT: Pretty awesome if you like that sort of thing, I'd rather have the MT though.

I love the minor adjustments to the interior. I gotta find a way to darken all my silver accents like that, looks sexy as f*ck. And it looks like the white ring around the start button glows red. Gonna take a look to see what's possible when I do the GTR button swap.

Overall its not causing me any grief on my recent '11 Nismo purchase, just giving me inspiration.

:iagree:

Its going to be very hard to go Forced induction on this car. You will have to change the differential gearing back to 3.3 or 3.69. As traction will be a issue.
The 1/4 mile times will be a lot quicker with the 2015.

As much as I like the look overall, IMO, it does look great, its all cosmetic. Id NEVER buy one, especially at that price point. Z35 better be hybrid and a revolutionary change in platform, otherwise Nissan threw in the towel competing in this market.

did u just say hybrid? go buy a prius lol....turbo 6. nothing else would suffice.

although it would never happen, they could use a hybrid approach to increase performance sharply. The Z is no supercar, so it won't happen, but the Porsche 918 and McLaren P1 could very well be the future of performance motoring.

As for this Nismo, it's a pretty body kit, and people clamoring for better seats, nav, or an auto tranny in a nismo... They get what they want, so I guess that's good.

I kinda wish the Nismo was significantly better or faster than the other models in some way, other than arguably the looks.

Firebase99 05-19-2014 05:56 AM

Why wont a hybrid Z happen? its already on the Q line. Hybrid plus NA equals instant fawking torque. FTW.
