Nissan, if you are here, you now KNOW what were looking for, you now know that minor BS updates aren't going to appease us. You're losing Z customers hand over fist to 5.0's and oddly enough Corvettes. Learn, not for my sake, I'm a Toyota guy and I learned my lesson to never buy a Nissan again. But learn for the other guys that are from Nissan families that are just over it.

I think the problem comes from the fact that the Nismo has always been easily distinguishable from the standard coupe, even more so with the Z33 version. This new model really should have been the 2013 upgrade for the standard model. Any change for the Nismo should have improved the aerodynamics of the current model (if practical) and added RC brake ducts and grille along with some HP/Torque, and most definitely brake improvements. New rims are okay, but probably could have gone to 20" rims. Adding nav and the Recaros are the only positives I see here. It sure seems like a lot of money and effort expended on a model that supposedly is going to be changed in (now) 2016. It makes one wonder if there isn't going to be a new Z anytime soon if at all.

I dig the new wing better than the current sport wing and it will cover all the holes being a big overlay. Also the blacked out interior is a step in the right direction and the only one. The seats damn near touch the roof and the cover quality is horrible where it wraps over the top compared to a normal Recaro Sportster CS. I wanted the front bumper from the teaser pic, but that was before they showed the whole thing. Maybe in one color it would look decent

Although I am less enamored with the new look from straight on in the front (mid lip thing sticks out further than the lower lip?), all in all I like all the cosmetic changes (variant wing, new wheels, kit, tinted lenses, seats).
But... the only real performance upgrade (alleged aero improvements notwithstanding -- lets see it in a wind tunnel...) is the final gear ratio. Otherwise there is NOTHING new about this car. My only fear is that this IS the Z35 with a snazzier body kit and nicer seats... again, see further the "new" Q60, which is really only a slight update of the G37.. ![]()

There are parts of the update that I really like but I dont like the full package. For example, they almost got the front correct but swished the lip up and in so it looks too much like the fish fangs that we don't care for. They were on the right track but needed the lower lip/splitter to follow through. They had a good aggressive start but couldn't quite tie it together. Its almost great but not quite right. The fenders have a good look. I even like the wheels in the real life pics. They appear to stick out farther. The back is almost good but they stuck a sport spoiler on it. It's like every part of the car looks like they started with something great and screwed up the finished piece.

Yeah, nissan, if you are watching this thread, we want power! Seriously, i sold my current z 2 weeks ago to prepare for an awesome 2015 nismo. Needless to say, I'm not buying this old oddball.
I'm going to wait another year and see what they do. If they can't get it right, I'm buying a c6. |

im liking the new look. i could never stand the old nismo or z33 nismo because of the wing. too boy-racer for me.
front looks good. new led drls are better than the 2013 refresh imo. not sold on the rear. rims are ok. interior is nice. regardless, ill be keeping my 2011.

they should have put a more aggressive wing but I like the aggressive unique look. As far as losing z customers I would never get a pos 5.0 rustang the vette on the other hand is a consideration.
