The one thing I hate about the Z? Horrible rear visibility. Turning left and merging onto traffic at an angle sucks. Aside from that, I love it.

Yea that is sometimes a problem. The blindspot on the right is more troublesome for me. I have adjusted mirrors as far as reasonable and there is still, just a bit, of spot. Gotta pay attention.

But... that's kinda what the Z is all about isn't. It is not a freeway boat. It is a "drivers" car. That's one of the main reasons I bought it.

Really? I guess it depends on how you sit because I too have adjusted my mirrors and totally eliminated my blindspot!

If someone is riding shotgun and moves the seat back, the quarter window disappears for me. Not a big problem on the road (one should be aware of other vehicles well before they get to any blind spots), but can be a PITA in parking lots/driveways/&c, even when the passenger seat back is not blocking it.

If you're commuting with heavy traffic -- especially in So Cal -- then I highly recommend convex mirrors for your side mirrors.

Yeah I know that your Great Aunt had them on her Coupe De Ville, but they've saved me many times from side swiping idiots who insist on sitting in my blind spot.

I have seen you post this before, and it definitely depends upon one's seating position. I can not eliminate all blind spots with my stock mirrors. It has been quite the aggravation. But it hasn't been as aggravating as my being unable to get my wife and son to position their side mirrors properly despite years of trying

This. When I picked up my Z and I was driving it home with my wife in the passenger seat, I did not even realize there was a quarter window there until she pointed out (after a couple of hours) something she was looking at outside the quarter window on my side.

The problem this presents for me is when I'm stopped at an intersection that is not quite "square." I can not see if there is oncoming traffic from my right.

LOL! Wasn't there similar posts about the Z being a jealous rednek/moron/ricer/etc magnet? It happens in the S STL metro area all the time to me.

Figured. Still glad to see others. I'll try to be mature about it but I'm still young blood myself. I understand the Z is not the fastest car being low 13s in a 1/4 mile. But unlike the majority on the street who have any clue about a car nonetheless an oil change.

Women are competitive too here. I get women in trucks, vans, fuel saving cars trying to out speed me more than you think. You should see their faces when i dont try to dust them. When i stop at the stop light, their face shows, I got him the ballzzzz hahahaha

:iagree:
It is getting real hard to drive my car anywhere without having to deal with these clowns on the road. I just laugh because i know what they are going to do before they do it.:driving:

It's even funnier when they get up on my *** when I'm just minding my own business on the highway and doing the speed limit. I just have nothing to prove to someone in another vehicle. People are crazy, you know? Drivers that end up next to me first in line that punch it at a red light next to me, and the next light 1000 feet ahead is still red.

OMG THANK YOU! I thought that was just a NY thing. The minivan is my worst enemy! A guy in a minivan cut me off totaled my first Z and dam near killed me and me and him were the only two drivers on the highway at the time. Every single thing you said in your post happens to me every fuukin day! I got to say a little prayer every time i make it to my destination..lol

I think people driving minivans knows its not practical for them to be driving a 2 seater so they take out there aggravation on me!:shakes head::driving::shakes head:

Thanks again fountainhead:tup:

Always fun when they cut me off to getting into the off/on ramp, then have to slam their brakes on the turn.

Several months back I had to go to a funeral in Miss. My sister & BiL also went & took their C6. Almost all of the drive through Ala. was interstate & while we were not flying, we were maintaining a speed where no one was passing us.
We get to Miss. & keeping the same speed, I swear cattle trucks & yugos were flying by us.
We were being passed by everything on the road.
Already going at a speed that was "bruising" the speed limit pretty bad, we just watched as Caterpillar Road Grading Equipment left us in their dust.

I have caused three people so far to get a speeding ticket with that driving method and 5 people have saved me from getting a speeding ticket because they HAD to be out in front..My favorite type of drivers on the highway!:driving::tup:
