Since i'm so handsome my theory is they look over and intensely feel a man crush for me then get angry with themself for being ghey and then must beat me to take away the ghey.

That'd be an awrsome south park.

I am one of those people. However I never race, too old for that these days. Hell I cant even do a mediocre oil change anymore without issues.

is it just me or do others get this from Camero drivers? I get a lot of nods, waves, or thumbs up from others while camero drivers do a flyby or rev their engine.

I think they are trying to floor the gas thus rush to the nissan dealership to trade in the camel camero for a Z.

I get the occasional ricer or redneck down here that wants to run. I typically ignore them. I haven't had anyone screaming at me through an open window yet though. I might actually find that enjoyable.

I can only think of two incidents that were memorable:
WARNING, both are long.

( Click to show/hide )

First one was when I was heading home after picking up a pizza. While driving down through UCF territory (college kids, gotta love 'em, or not), had some douche in a neon SRT4 come flying up behind me, tailgating, and then pulls into the next lane and purposely slows down to get level with me. I blame the sound of those Fast Intentions LTHs for that ;). Dude kept doing that for about 5 mins., revving his engine and staring at me. I will admit that I was not in the best of moods, so when he finally goes to take off, I just drop a couple of gears and leave him in the dust. I think I must have pissed him off, because he started to follow me, almost all the way home. Not the best move, I know, but in the mood I was in, I think I kind of wished that he had followed me back home.

Second incident, driving with my mother in the passenger seat, heading out to get dinner. I'm doing about 10mph over the speed limit heading south on SR 417, when I start to pass a couple of guys in an older Lexus GS 300 with gleamies on it. Just as I get to about even with the rear bumper of his car, his passenger throws a full cup of soda out of his window at me. Keep in mind that I wasn't flying up towards them, they were probably only going about 5 mph slower than me. Well I brake a little bit so I avoid most of the soda, and then as I speed back up to pass them, I see the passenger glaring at me with this pissed off look on his face. He starts yelling at me and waving his hands. I proceed to give him the finger and drop a couple of gears, quickly leaving them both far behind me. The funniest part about the situation was that while I was mad, I was no where NEAR as mad as my mother was. I think it took about 5 mins for her to calm down and stop calling those guys names, questioning their parentage, things like that.

All in all, I guess you could say that it comes with the territory man. As has been said, haters are gonna hate, and there really isn't much you can do about it but deal with it.

Look at it like a few of us on here do. Think of how pathetic and worthless these people must be to have to try to prove themselves to someone who doesn't give a ****. Find the humor in it, and laugh at their pathetic actions. It's the easiest way I've found to deal with it.

I don't get anybody wanting to race but I do get the Civics and other riced up Hondas blow by me, pull in front then slow back down to freeway speeds. I don't get it. I guess they like to pretend they beat out a Z.

For some reason, and it happens a lot, I'll come out of a store or something and another Z will be parked next to mine. I think that's kinda cool.

Mine's the convertible:
