MAF tubes

When I pulled out the stock tube on driver side it had like a male part underneath. What is that for? Also, the oil temp is good to what degree

What is that for? Also, the oil temp is good to what degree before concern. I hit 235F in 80 degree temp yesterday in traffic and Florida isn't even hot yet THANKS
