Invest in a good after market alarm with a remote paging system.

My personal opinion is that an alarm with a pager is just a waste of money, and could get you shot over a Car. Most people hear car alarms nowadays, and don't even look, its so common to hear them honking nowadays.
If your car alarm has an ignition kill, it MAY be there when you return, your contents, however may not be. Serious crooks are quite savvy these days. If they want your car, it's theirs.

at least to me it sounds like they REALLY wanted his car, but the Z's built in anti theft devices made it damn near impossible for them with the amount of scratches and damage that it sounds like was done to his Z....just another reason to like the 370, makes it a pain for the thieves to steal in the first place with the way it's built lol

A spring loaded punch knocks out a window in .01 seconds. No need to pry off the door handle to gain access. These guys were nothing near professional car thiefs. Probably some dumb-*** kids looking to get interior contents, not car. Just a guess.

:iagree:Almost sounds like they didn't want the car but only what was inside it:icon14:

thanks for all the support guys.

he is meeting with the insurance adjuster tomorrow to get an estimate for the damage and see how much the insurance is gonna cover.

i honestly think they wanted to get in the car and take whatever they could find.

when he moved to his new apt i told him not to park that car in the street.. worth spending the extra 75 a month on top of rent for a garage... sigh..
