Not really... I never look at the gear indicator when I'm shifting. Right now I drive a 6MT. But in my old car I had DCT and I would never look at what gear I was on. I kind of judged down/up shifting based on Rpms. It's just a nice luxury feature for drivers IMHO

That's kinda hard to with the 7AT which is what he was referring to, not the 6MT.

Yeah no gear indicator on non sychro rev manual, Nissan should have just thrown it in there. But yeah more of a novelty, I don't think I've ever not known what gear I was in.

:stirthepot:But I'm curious why are you auto guys pretending to be manual..................

I suppose we could start calling it "semi-automatic mode" ... but that might confuse the folks that hang out in http://www.the370z.com/lounge-off-to...-firearms.html :happydance:

I have am '09 Touring MT w/o the sports package. Never really bothered me, nor the lack of SRM. It's not that hard to tell what gear you're in. It's actually pretty easy to do it by feel/position/engine sound. The other upgrades of the SP on the other hand, are definitely worth it.

It's rare that I ever "forget" which gear I am in. After some day dreaming, sometimes I forget if I am 3 or 5 when the music is turned up! :p
