Shine Auto no response

I bought some Rear Add-ons for my 370z about a week and a half ago and have been trying to get hold of Shine for a tracking number or at least an update if there is a delay in shipping. I have not been able to get hold of anyone by the number on thier website or through email. Tried multiple times on different days. Anyone else had issues with getting hold of them and if there is a way to get hold of them? Seems like bad customer service, I don't want my package laying around outside my house.

Wonka2581 04-11-2014 07:20 PM

thats not like them hmmm...

JeMo44 04-11-2014 08:04 PM

That's really weird. I was there a few days ago to pick up my bumper with cf accent. It took them about 1 1/2 weeks. Keep trying to call, he's probably just really busy. From hw the told me, they're packed with work.

FairladyZ10PG 04-11-2014 08:12 PM

Yea their responses are not so timely but they do get back everytime
I, too, am awaiting his response to my email sent yesterday.

I inquired about a specific kit and I got an email response from Ken right away.

lvz053 04-11-2014 10:31 PM

Will keep trying. If I don't hear back I'm going to have to call the cc company.

If you want, I may be in the area throughout this upcoming week, I can stop by and ask for you?

This is awesome, ask him if he can send me tracking information in regards to sale order# 7682. I have no clue what the status of my order is.

Thanks!

Strange..I've always had excellent service from Shine.Keep in mind, they cannot
always call you back when you want. They are a rather small company. They
produce all their stuff at their CA location. From my experience,it takes a week or so to get the part made, another week to ship to you. They usually make up parts to order.

understood. My concern is not the time it takes to deliver the product. I ordered my evo-r lip from the Z-store at the same time and they let me know right away that it's on back order. I am perfectly ok with this and think it's great of them to let me know. My complaint is that I don't have any clue the status of my order from shine is (delayed, shipped, missing). I would just like to know the status.

FairladyZ10PG 04-14-2014 06:05 PM

Ok I emailed him three times and called today but the machine picks up. Now I'm beginning to get irritated. I've been recommending shine auto and their product every chance I get but if I don't hear from him by tomorrow, I will no longer be doing that. Busy or not I think it's just bad business to ignore customers. Just curious if op has heard back.

lvz053 04-17-2014 08:42 AM

Nope. Not one word. I emailed and called yesterday with no response. It's been 2 and a half weeks and not one word from them about my order status. I'll give them a few more days before I file a credit card claim. Never had I have a business totally ignore a paying customer. It's just bad customer service.

FairladyZ10PG 04-17-2014 11:34 AM

^something must be up. I haven't heard from him in 2 weeks either.

TheGreatOne 04-17-2014 01:02 PM

If its a small operation, could be something personal (not saying thats an excuse for going silent)

I remember a vendor here being absent for awhile turns out they were going through a seperation :(

Thats very unlike Shine Auto though, I got the rear spats in CF too. Granted I got them from Vivid Racing but Vivid had no problem keeping me up to date thanks to updates from Shine.

cooltoy 04-17-2014 03:11 PM

God forbid - illness or death in the family?

FairladyZ10PG 04-17-2014 03:32 PM

I don't know but something must be up. It's never been like this.

lvz053 04-17-2014 09:11 PM

I'll say. Has anyone stop by the shop in the past 2 weeks?

I still haven't been in the area, I had to work in San Diego this week. As soon as I get a chance, I'll go check what's up for you guys

lvz053 04-18-2014 11:18 AM

I won't recommend anyone buying anything from shine until they start communicating again. Seems like they just shut everyone off. Almost 3 weeks now.

dkinghl 04-18-2014 04:14 PM

Shine customer service is so weird. I try to call them 3-4 times to order the front amuse bumper but NOBODY ANSWER THE PHONE

WHat people say about their product : good/best fitment replica with price on amuse kit.

What people talk about their service: terrible/ no reply/ no answer/ disappear for 1-2 months than your order arrive.

They do not have a sponsor / representatives here also

onzedge 04-18-2014 04:41 PM

They should rename themselves Shine On Auto.

ShutokuZ 04-18-2014 04:55 PM

Ok I just got off the phone with Ken at Shine. He said that they have been in and out and have been flooded with voice mails and e-mails for parts, so they are filtering through them now. Also, he said they produce about one set of rear add ons a week (takes a week to make) and then ship that pair out per order. Ken said the add ons have been on high demand recently and have been on BO until they could catch up.

OP, I inquired about your part and I am assuming based on your posting date and order date, you are the one who ordered on April 1st, per their order log. If so, Ken said you are the next one on the list to get the add ons sent out. Ken said it should be sent either early next week or late next week, depending on if they need to be made first. They are in the office now, so give them a call if you can.

lvz053 04-18-2014 05:39 PM

Thanks for the update. Those would be my order.

FairladyZ10PG 04-18-2014 06:02 PM

Man that's good to hear but I still haven't heard back. I even sent them a fax with my name number and email....

Update: Ken finally answered back my email and will be getting my parts in about a week & a half :)

cooltoy 04-18-2014 08:46 PM

And all is good in the world again.

FairladyZ10PG 04-18-2014 11:01 PM
