source?

I emailed a dealership here in Houston and the guy told me the ordering window opens on the 8th of September. He tells me won't know until then if the Z will be in the order bank. Can anyone confirm this.

Portlander 09-05-2009 12:50 PM

My Sales Manager is placing my order on the 8th for a 2010. He received his go ahead from someone in the Nissan upper chain of command. We'll see!

Hi-TecDesigns 09-05-2009 05:30 PM

As I understand it, the dealers are being allocated one Roadster for September, and orders from customers are not supposed to be taken until December (though some dealers may decide to skip that rule).

2010 order officially sent this afternoon for an October build and a mid to late November delivery. New prices not released yet but my sales manager expects a $200-300 increase over 2009 to cover the cost of the new cabin microfilter which is expected to bump horsepower to 335 :)

g96818 09-10-2009 03:57 AM

is this fu*ker at it again?

how is a cabin microfilter gonna increase hp? isn't that for inside the cockpit? or is it something for the engine?
i'm just wondering

noodles 09-10-2009 04:17 AM

You know how putting the NOS sticker on the rear 3/4 window?? same concept but not 50hp like the sticker.

Portlander 09-10-2009 07:04 AM

g96818, sorry you didn't get my attempt at humor.

Fairly minor in my opinion. Cabin air purification filter, enhanced navigation system, heated mirrors and one new color.

YamahaR6 09-10-2009 03:31 PM

Wow... I went to 5 dealerships and wanna test drive the 370z and was not avaliable. Even after I put down a deposit they still don't have a test drive car for me.

Lucky guy, gets to test drive 2 370z and wrecked 1.

Nice!

you should test it out there when the '11's come out.. get replacement cost and get a new Z next year too :ugh2:

nurburgring 09-10-2009 04:03 PM

i think many times when people talk about "road safety" its just a front to hide the fact that they are afraid to push the limits.

i guess that's what separates the men from the boys as they say.

Thought "your kind" has priority over "other kind" and didn't have to order or even pay for it.
