UPGRADE!! missed the 6MT didnt you? How bad did you get raped on finance?

One_Quick_Z 09-01-2009 06:28 PM

Congrats on Upgrading to an even more of a track monster!

chibbell 09-01-2009 06:41 PM

Congrats on the track beast. I'm also quite interested in what they gave you on the trade so we can get an idea of what dealers might try to give others. I hope it wasn't too much of a bath.

ishthemienguy 09-01-2009 06:45 PM

nice...it went from beast to beastly? lol

dainedazz 09-01-2009 06:47 PM

nice upgrade ;)

skydvr 09-01-2009 08:20 PM

Nice congratulations I haven't seen one in white yet but I bet it's nice. :pics:

JoeyD 09-01-2009 08:53 PM

Skydvr huh? Yuma AZ huh? JUMP RAEFORD DUDE!

I think I got a reasonable trade all things considered. My sisters boyfriend hit my PG 370Z last night. I was already debating the NISMO and that happening made my mind up. They gave me 25K trade with 21K miles. I got the NISMO for invoice, right around 37K. Overall I think I got the car I really wanted for a price I don't have to feel bad about.

Early impression. Very fast, very solid, very fun. Don't get me wrong, I miss my sat radio and sub. However, the NISMO will quickly make you forget all about luxury items. The 6MT is a great transmission but I have to say, even now, its a hard call between the two. The 1-2 and 2-3 shift in the 7AT are exhilarating. In the 6MT you are more connected but less precise and powerful.

mrmixitup 09-01-2009 11:26 PM

Wow. $12k difference? You must have really hated that auto.

tru_Asiatik 09-01-2009 11:40 PM

I had some good trade equity left over from the first car i traded. My NISMO cost me 38,060 out the door. I payed about 40 for PG 370Z.

The NISMO has some damage from being taken off the truck, but Nissan will, of course, be replacing my entire front facia for free as soon as replacement parts become available. I'll post up a preliminary pic with more to follow once the front end is fixed.http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos...8_549840_n.jpg

fuct 09-02-2009 09:38 AM

:iagree: ...and I'm impressed. I've got 17,200 on mine.

m4a1mustang 09-02-2009 06:47 PM

I thought 10k was a lot!

Enjoy the new Z!

lando76 09-02-2009 07:09 PM

maybe im reading this wrong. Did you say you paid less for a Nismo vs a 370z. If so how. 38K otd for a nismo means roughly you got the car for around 36k. I mean damn what a steal. But seriously what are you now financing 49k.

alan93rsa 09-02-2009 08:24 PM

I traded my 370 MT/Sport/Touring for 31,500 mid July on a Cayman S. Sometimes it pays to be early.

Almost forgot, congratulations on a nice car.

Yes they are!

I've had mine for 3 months this saturday, I've put almost 1400 miles on it, and it still smells brand new.

Call me crazy, but I'm still nervous driving it. It's a LOT wider than my other vehicles and the blind spots have me driving a bit paranoid since I almost wiped out a motorcycle once, and nearly hit a car another time. Probably next spring I'll be more OK with it...but, I do still drive it, just not that often...

I also hate washing cars, and mine is black. It stays clean and shiny in the garage. Once I get more confident about washing/waxing without scratching, I'll drive it more...hell, I dropped more than $300 on zaino and griot's stuff, and still haven't bought the polisher or the pads.

The car gives me a reason to start dumping money into my garage (tool boxes, cabinets, etc) - so I have proper places to store this stuff...

Lug 09-03-2009 11:09 AM

NISMO + HFC's = goodness

Endgame 09-03-2009 11:20 AM

JoeyD you are the man! I can't believe you actually did it!!! But, it is good you actually did what you needed to get the car you really wanted!

bravo

jmlenz 09-03-2009 05:39 PM

I CALL DIBS ON THE ORIGINAL FRONT BUMPER!!!!

SERIOUS THOUGH...FIND OUT WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO WITH IT AND IF YOU CAN KEEP IT!!! ILL BUY IT!!!

Amazing car by the way!

To me either..........this car is not a classic or collectible and is going to depreciate. I have 13,000 on mine in 10 months and I alternate between it and the Max!

30k....

Every time you guys mention the price the 370z around 30k in america makes me and my australian brothers want to cry :barf:

Can't believe they are 70k here.....the new Cayman S is 165k fully optioned...

- Ty

chuckd05 01-15-2010 12:20 AM

Very Nice! As long as your confortable with the payment than who cares. 20k miles and and some body damage to get 25 isnt all that bad imo.

Theyll Prob sell your car for 28ish so they're not killing you at all.

White Nismos look absolutely ridiculous. Congrats.

You dont pay taxes on the trade in value in NY, same where you are ?

Wow, after factoring in the exchange rate your still paying around 65K USD for the Z. How much would it cost to import one from the US? It couldn't possible be twice the value of the car.

JoeyD 01-15-2010 08:01 AM

Ok tires on a 370Z. If you drive like me (HARD) 10-12K miles on the rears and double that on the fronts.

I didn't pay trade tax. Happy about that. My car was still on the lot when I went in for a service a few weeks ago. I think they had it marked down from 31 to 28. BTW the body repair they did=flawless. I could find no indication anything was ever wrong (even under the wheel well and rear fascia was fixed right)
